Well, if you had advance notification this meeting was going to happen, and you had spoken with the establishment's management only to be dismissed it would be easy to throw them under the bus.  Would you say that Twin Peaks was very quick to come out and revoke the Waco stores charter?  I don't think it was difficult for them to point the finger of blame when they tried to get some help - but were turned away.

so this guy clearly hates the police. both articles are an effort to drag them through the mud. I have one major problem with them, though.

Both articles are written in a way to cast serious doubt on police accounts of the shooting, and basically tries to pin the blame on them. Anyone reading the article can clearly see that. It gives the impression that a couple of guys are fighting, and then the cops just declare open season, indiscriminately killing anyone they see, even though it was just a minor dustup.

But THEN, in another effort to again make the police look as badly as possible, the article gives the description of the scenario that one biker allegedly found himself in before being arrested (in order to criticize the police further):

Among those arrested was Theron Rhoten, who had just pulled into the parking lot on his vintage Harley chopper when the bullets started flying.

Rhoten showed up at the Twin Peaks restaurant for a regional motorcycle club meeting. But, according to his wife, he soon found himself in the middle of a deadly shootout involving scores of other bikers.

Katie Rhoten said her husband ran for cover and was later arrested, along with motorcycle-riding friends and other “nonviolent, noncriminal people.”


That doesn't really jive with the narrative the author of the "news piece" is selling, as he's suggested that the majority of the bikers were inside, not wielding weapons, and that it was generally a small fight that police just started blasting into.

Tisk-Tisk, amazing!  And we wonder why we have a flare up of racial tension.  This is a professor spouting hatred and vitriol from "the pulpit".  We need more people, from both races working diligently to solve problems.  What we have is people carrying around metaphorical gasoline cans and fanning the flames of hatred.

I have to go out on a limb here and say that we should get past the first round this coming year.  I followed every game this past year and the returning seniors and juniors will be a force to be reckoned with on the six man field.  They got a taste of the playoffs and that experience along with the games they gave away last year weigh on their mind every day.  They learned, they matured and the upper classmen will be sensational leaders and go-getters this year.  We have talent, speed, quick-thinkers, hard-hitters and tons of heart.  They are ready for this season and are already mapping out their personal workouts over the coming weeks.  Will we win state?  Maybe not.  Will we try?  Of course we will.  But are we the worst district in 6man?  Absolutely not.  The kids themselves have high expectations this year and they are ready to do what it takes to succeed.  Three of them just returned from the state track meet and want to take that energy to the next level in football.  I know we are the object of everyone's jokes, but don't count us out just yet.  Let it play out and see where the guys stand come November.  Can't wait for Week One to get here.

I am truly amazed at some of the views and attitudes on here.  He was found innocent, end of story.  Trouble does seem to follow him around, but had he not been under the national media microscope, would we even know about him?  But to wish someone to be shot and a quadriplegic...and be a nurse while saying that..bewildered and shocked.

I appreciate that, on both accounts. I have some liberal in me, but I don't want to ever give the impression that I support terrorism. I want them all dead, and I want us to be the country that kills them ;)

Well when you fly airplanes into buildings, expect Sharia Law to be the law of the land would you not expect people to make fun of your prophet? 

You are absolutely correct, What made them mad enough to bomb Boston marathon?  They will kill when they get the opportunity!

I wouldn't intentionally provoke these nuts either, but you miss my point, we can stop doing anything to give these animals reason to kill, and they will still do it.
 
We may be able to speed up action from them by what we do, but it's happening at some point anyway...regardless if we do anything or not.
 
Like I said, I agree that she has a right to do this, but I personally think it's dumb.
 
That still doesn't hide the fact that the real problem are these maniacs, and not someone drawing a cartoon.

So...how many women are  forcibly mutilated by the westboro crowd....you do NOT get it if  you give those folks who try to compare Christianity with islime the time of day.......there is no comparison....the Westboro group reads the Bible and claim to follow it....the muslims read the koran and claim to follow it.....YET, the westoboro group has done NOTHING in following their beliefs that can even be remotely compared to what  is done by muslimes following theirs.......you or the people you are referring to are trying to compare apples to oranges and it's an epic fail......
