Wrong!! After Liberty s first drive that was it. Liberty did have a nice third drive but ended in a missed FG. After that it was all Silsbee. Don’t matter how much time you keep the ball if you can’t score you lose. It was a hard fought game on both sides and the score indicated how the game went.

Yes you did. Not only did you say Liberty was the toughest Team Silsbee will face this year you said Liberty is the best clock control team Silsbee will face this year. If you don't understand basic writing skills it makes you look dumb. I would hope you can get the point. If you want to put past games out there, Liberty only beat Cleveland by seven points by a score of 7-0 and Cleveland is arguably the worst 5A team in town. I would not consider Silsbee offense as high powered, but thanks for the vote of confidence.

Produces? Yeah, I understand what your saying. Putting up that 1st rounder for a WR, knowing about the failures of the past. When I first heard Cooper's name I was like alright he can help, then I seen the trade. Gees not again. We got WRs for the jump ball, Cooper will run routs and Cooper knows when to run what rout. If he can do that, that will be the difference. Hopefully he gets that separation also. Will he be good enough for the money I don't think well see this year, but next year who knows? Thing is we have been so close to win on the road, maybe Cooper will help get us over the hump. If he can help with that, that would definitely be producing and winning in the NFL is all that matters. We'll see?

I think your putting the focus on the wrong side of the ball for Liberty in this game. Silsbee can score on ether on a five minute drive or a ten second drive, clock management is something Silsbee wants to do in a game not necessarily have to have. As long as Silsbee has one more point than the other team at the end of the game, that's what we want. TigerNation!!!

Final Silsbee JV/Fresh 35 Liberty 22

Yes, Liberty presents a problem for Silsbee. Liberty runs an unorthodox offense. Two TE, two slots on outside of TE, the RB up close to the QB kinda like a sniffer and they LOVE to run between the guards. They will line up in a slot-T every now and then and line up with a WR out wide even less. Silsbee will have to play disciplined gap assignments on defense to slow that offense down. Silsbee offensive will score points on their defense. Big game for both teams!!!

I see Liberty has gotten over two inches of rain over the past couple of days.

Silsbee owns a 23-12-2 record over Liberty. The first meeting was way back in 1940 and the last time these two teams played was in 2005. This will be the 38th meeting between these two teams.

26 penalties tonight (14 Silsbee, 12 HJ) nether team could get into the flow of the game. The refs will have to go home and ice down their shoulders. Very nit-picky on the flags tonight. Both teams jaw-jacking back and fourth and the refs where up for the challenge, throwing mutable flags on both teams for running their mouths. The one thing that has hindered Silsbee all year is penalties and fumbles. Late in the year to be loosing focus, two maybe three TD called back for Silsbee for penalties. An ugly win and a W is good. On to the next game.

Still, starting out 0-2 not good. ‘‘Tis better to face bottom of other district than face top. Works with all districts.
-
Important game for both teams, both are 0-1 in district and with only two district games after this one a loss will put you on the outside looking in on the playoffs in last place. Only four district games starting out 0-2 will be bad.

ALCS- Astros vs Red Sox
STiger85 replied to PhatMack19's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
Yeah, I had the Astros in six. I don’t think I’ve seen the Astros bats that ineffective. When your playing a team like Boston they don’t need any help with calls going their way, the bad calls hurt us but our bats killed us. Boston ability to hit with two strikes was a difference maker. -

Well, I'll keep to my predictions. It's a odd number week and the Cowboys are on the road. Not good. But, this is the most heated rivalry in the NFL so any thing could happen. I'll be pulling for the Cowboys. -

Landry's last season was 3-13. Johnson's first season was 1-15. Johnson made the deal of deals and the rest is history. -

I would love to see film on this game, just to see how a team can score 87 points??!!! -
If your talking about the go routs, yes we did. One was in the end zone that was catchable the ball just bounced off the receivers hands, one was thrown short into double coverage and intercepted, one was thrown into triple coverage and luckily it was close to the sidelines and got knocked out of bounds. That last one, the receiver that was all alone over the middle ran a slant rout. There's always different routs run on pass plays, the QB just has to process it and make good reads.
