Could it simply be the long success of making the playoffs and once in the playoffs they win....Doing it that long gets respect....One more thing, I wouldn't consider Nederland a good football team at the start of this season, that is what makes Nederland special, they figure out their needs, address it, and then win, just like they will do this Friday night against Vidor, WIN and win Big,,,,,,,,Nederland 42 Vidor 14............. This last post by "James Mosley" is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. He implies that the Bulldogs are special because they figure out their needs and address them as the season goes on. But recent history doesn't support this. The Bulldogs lost their last two games in 2007 keeping them out of the playoffs and have lost the last two games they've played this season. So how does this qualify for figuring out their needs and addressing them? Recent history,,,,you hit the panic button way too soon....Adapting and overcoming is what Nederland has done for well over 150 plus games under Neumann. Don't put the last 10 games and say Nederland is overated. Down, staggered, but not out by any means. The Bulldogs have had the name champion attached to their season for 10 plus years in a row, no not state champion, but co-district, by-district, etc.... I guess that is what MOST people see as a reason to always prep hard for Nederland, and that is why they have the respect they have....When you pull the performance of the last 8 eight games and draw a conclusion like you have you obviously have missed the true meaning of what Nederland IS.....

Runningwise, no. He might be a better passer though. On the video, did you happen to see who that TD pass was to? Well, little brother is on this team and he is just as fast as that receiver. With four teams going to the playoffs my dog could coach a playoff team. Kinda low goals set there for measuring a coach....

I must have read you post incorrectly, I thought you said because you thought Bellows was not a mobile QB the spread would never work. I for one hope he doesn't run much to show he can just because I'd hate to lose him to a silly injury on a meaningless run.

Bellows is perfect for this offense.... He is doing so good many people often forget he is only a Jr. with one year of QB experience. I don't even recall him playing QB as a freshman. Critique him all you want but then sit back and watch him mature...Grogan being able to run the ball and stay in the backfield and pick up the linebacker blitz is what helped make the spread work.

The margin of separation will slowly close as long as Neumann and Co. are around and you guys keep looking backwards...it's tough to imagine I know!! ;D ;D ;D

Listen, the kid is 244 lbs almost to the pound accurate. This is fact not fiction. he is a BEAST and will only get better. I for one hope they run his tail off, give him the ball 30 plus times a game if needed. Not too many linebackers in this district are ready to tackle someone that big and strong 30 something times a game.... Give it to him until he runs himself in shape and then give it to him again....

He if can't play he would be eligible for a medical red shirt. Dodge played slot most of the game and did really good. Kid can play.

He took the opening kick-off and got hit from the left side. He now has a left shoulder injury which will require two weeks of rehab, then with a brace he could maybe play. If not, he will have surgery on the shoulder and be out the remainer of the year.

Agree, hard fought game, but Nederland matches up too well against their weaknesses this year.

Don't know what they are looking at, I see an offense that WOS will have a hard time stopping and I see a WOS offense that doesn't have the firepower of the past. Defense will play a part in this game but Nederland WILL score and score often.... ;D ;D ;D

Jasper would more than likely win 20-4A in my opinion as would WO-S. I think overall the district will be down this season. Oh Oh. We Jake and people like him say the district is 'down' this year, that means Ozen or Central will win it lol....... BTW, WO-S by 21.... Actually, I do think either Central or Ozen will win the district. My money right now is on Central. But, I think the top 4 will be Central, Nederland, Port Neches, and Ozen. I will, however, take Nederland if you are giving me 21 points. ;D Sucker bet alert lol. Knowing my luck Jake, Ned's field is full of holes and the Mustangs will come out with a couple of busted hooves and y'all would pull an upset. I'll take WO-S straight up, no points my friend When WOS loses it won't be because of the field it will be because they were manhandled. Dogs by 17 and that is with calling off the dogs late in the game.... ;) ;D

WOS WILL NOT beat Nederland. Ain't gonna happen, not this year..... ;) And the field will have nothing to do with it cause it will be in excellent shape.....
