  1. Full blown no huddle spread! Don't see it happening...... Tradition will keep the same bread and butter offense on the field.... Same offense with a series or two out of the spread.......You can bet the farm on that being the offense on the field next year.....
  2. Nederland will not change their offense. They will play some out of the spread but no more or less than in the past. I see their defense being much stronger than last year and by the time district rolls around the offense should be ready to go. Replacing the offensive line will be the key. Don't look for the spread to be their bread and butter offense........
  3. Can't wait to see the new field pngpurplenwhite, your punt team and kick return team should really do well on it!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
  4. Most of my prediction is based on what I hope happens. I would like to see LCM lose against Dayton then we beat you guys Saturday. I do think it will be a high score between you and Dayton....IF Dewey pitches against you guys he could keep you on the low side......
  5. I agree, pitching causes this to be a slugfest but I see Dayton coming out on top
  6. Vidor is in a load of trouble playing four games in a row. I predict the pitching selection against Central will back fire and Central out scores Vidor because of it. Central 8 Vidor 6
  7. PNG wins this one. Dayton does not have the bats to stay in the game. This district race will take on a whole new look in a few weeks. PNG by 6 runs......
  8. Dogs win the first one 5 - 1 I believe we had 5 hits and Huffman had 4 Beau pitched 5 good innings with only getting into trouble in two innings. Very good outing for Beau Bats were not hot but that is usually how it is early in the season. Aaron had the clutch hit tonight in bottom of sixth with a double down third base with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Play tomorrow at 5:30
  9. Nederland around 10 runs Bridge City around 5 runs Both teams pitched many Bridge City seemed to have more errors Nederland seemed to have more hits
  10. Coach Dodge has put together a great coaching staff. The running back coach, Coach Gandy, played at Southern Miss with Bret Farve and has interned at numerous NFL camps. Offensive coordinator is a past UT Quarterback (93, 94 ?), Coach Todd Ford. Coach Dodge gave his 5 steps to winning and none of them mentioned anything about plays, offense, defense....North Texas is building a new stadium which will be complete in 2009. The players wake up, walk to the cafe, walk to the weight room, walk to the locker room, coaches office, team meeting room and never go outside the whole time. The practice field is right outside the dorms and the new stadium is being built next to the dorms and locker room. Underarmour is now furnishing the equipment, new style jerseys, pants, gloves, shoes, etc....Underarmour was with Coach Dodge at Southlake and moved with him to North Texas. The freshman stay in Victory dorms which are only about 2 to 3 years old, we visited Texas A & M and North Texas facilities are right there with it. Micah will be starting out behind two senior running backs, Jamario Thomas who is projected to be drafted high in the upcoming NFL draft, this dude benches 490 lbs and runs a 4.41 forty, Cobbs who is a rookie running back playing for Miami this year played at North Texas last year. Great visit!
  11. Top three teams again will be Nederland, Central and Dayton. Ozen is a coach away from turning it around but may take another year. PNG is not changing, same plays, same outcome. Lumberton is catching up but not yet, LCM could play spoiler, Vidor I believe lost a lot of good players don't know if they have enough coming back.
  12. I don't know Piratefan or Jsmity. Did I miss something where they said they did know me. Piratefan has his reasons leave it at that, trust me here, what he says has no bearing on the future of any player from any school. He does however keep the board interesting.
  13. Best game for Nederland was coming from behind against LCM down by 12 points late in the forth quarter and converting back to back scores plus 2 pt. conversion. This helped us continue our playoff streak, become Bi-district champions and keep the tradition alive. Even though we lost to Vidor that also was a great game. Vidor did not quit.
  14. Nederland - 9 starting on offense, 7 starting on defense, punter and kicker also.
  15. Dravannti Johnson - Nederland, 4A Newcomer of the Year last year, two year starter
