Lumberton talks about their success from the Pop Warner level up to High School, which is a good thing in my book, confidence brings success. The same goes for this offensive line of Nederland, they have been blocking as a unit with Micah running behind them since the 7th grade. They are the best UNIT in district. They may not have D1 size and speed but I'll take their technique and desire over any line in district.......

How can a preseason team be picked without one offensive or defensive lineman from Nederland getting a mention. The entire offensive line except one is back from a playoff team.

Another one that comes to mind is the one Darin Smith put on the running back for Texas City a few years ago. Kid came up the middle and Darin planted him head on. Pound for pound Darin is still the biggest hitter to come out of Nederland.

Ryan Pillatiere two hits against Daytons wideouts in first round playoffs a few years back were unbelievable. I think he sent both off the field.

Defense - I guess that's why the Texans passed on Bush.

Nederland has the best returning offensive line in area 4A. They return all but one lineman from last years team and have a more than capable replacement ready. Look for this line to be one of the best ever out of Nederland.

If Nederland plays up to their potential and everyone stays healthy this could be Nederlands year for the out-right district title. A lot of things have to go their way but it is a strong possiblility. Central and Ozen will be their biggest test. Those two games could go either way. We will know what Nederlands has week 0 against LaMarque.

Nederland and LaMarque is going to be big. Nederland will play LaMarque tough, don't be surprised at the end. The other game would have to be Nederland and PNG. Nederland will win this game by a large margin!!!!!

Totally agree with you, Aaron McFarland should have been on the All-District team. He had a great year at the plate and made many good plays at first. Game winning hits all year and has good power. Good kid too!

Nederland: Aaron McFarland and Ryan Sampere, both should have had some mention in the all-district picks for 20-4A.
