  1. Hands Down - Ryan Butler - Willie Ray Smith nominee, All-District Football, All-District Soccer, Regional Track Meet - relays, Have not heard the results on Baseball All-District yet but he is extremely good at that also. 4-sport letterman this year. Best to come out of Nederland in many many years.
  2. Lonewolf, what's up with the statement, "the coach has the ball"? Did I miss something at the game?
  3. Nederland 3 LCM 2 Close but Nederland get's the hit they need!
  4. The Nederland team this year has one proven pitcher who can beat anyone on any given night, Matison Smith. They have a bunch of talented pitchers who will make their mark in 4A this year. This team will definitely be faster on the bases. We have lost some of the long ball fireworks but who knows someone else may fill that also. I still say Nederland, PNG then LCM....But then again, I am a Bulldog Backer!
  5. Talking about bats check this bat out, 2007 Louisville Slugger EXOGRID -3oz. Adult Baseball Bat
  6. No we haven't had an outright district title yet under Neumann but I wouldn't trade our success since 93 with any other team in our district. PNG would be the only team close. Ozen and Central are both headed in the right direction. Good coaching helps! I would say this year could be Lumbertons turn around season. The Nederland team coming back next year will surprise a lot of people.
  7. I didn't write it, I just cut and pasted it from BIGNED.COM. I think Jason Rollinson wrote it. I would say the change took place in 93 when Neumann and company took over.
  8. Should be a race between PNG, Nederland and LCM. Don't know how good LCM is but PNG is loaded with pitching, hitting and team speed. Nederland returns a few starters with only one proven Friday night pitcher. The Nederland team should have overall good speed on the bases and some good hitting. Good coaching on all three teams, could come down to a little luck here or there. My heart still picks Nederland to defend it's crown with PNG then LCM. PNG has the talent to run the table all the way to state.
  9. BULLDOG HISTORY The Bulldog tradition started in 1925 and has continued to present day through Blood, Sweat and Tears. The Bulldog tradition is deep with commitment, determination and loyalty. The Bulldogs have played in 27 BI-District games, 3 Area game, 1 Regional Semifinalist game, 15 Regional games, 10 Quarter Final games, 5 Semi-Final games, 2 Finals and in 1957 State Champions under Emmett McKenzie. The Bulldogs were Coached by Bum Phillips from 1951 to 1956 and were in the Quarter Finals in 1953, 1954 and 1955 under his direction. Head Coach Larry Neumann came aboard in 1993 and has a record of 101W - 41L - 1T. 10. Nederland vs. LaMarque in Reliant Stadium - players get to play in an awesome stadium against one of the toughest year-in year-out teams in 4A. Bringing PNG and Nederland fans together for a double header will be huge for all teams playing.
