Every year those Nike team line-ups change;)
Believe me I know, I played for them to coming up

 6. Is Dorian Chatman really that good. He didnt show me anything this summer, but this summer was the only time I saw him play.
 7.
RCS has a list of kids and which conference(s) in which they are projected to attend college. A couple of local kids on the list. Someone mentioned earlier that he played AAU ball this past summer with a 16U team and not a 17/18U team. Maybe he was not on their list bc he was not noticed at the lower level? Although I'm not a huge fan of AAU, I agree it is a necessary evil which kids should play if they want to get noticed. It's not easy to play in the Big 12. One has to be exceptional to get a scholarship with UT, Baylor, A&M, etc. Same with C-USA. As we have now learned, some of the better basketball kids in our area are not good enough to play in the SLC. I think a kid with the skill sets like Devante would be thrilled to be able to play for McNeese. Here's a question: Does Devante even want to play college basketball? Some kids get burned out after HS and AAU.
Yes he wants to play college ball. That's all he has been talking about. Just a reminder most of setx best players have been in the southland conference
 8. To be honest devante is a southland or sun belt caliber player. A lot of good players from the area think they are big 12 or SEC ready but they really are not
 9. I think dove that last year he was overshadowed by prudhomme, who is a great player, and with him playing 16U ball this summer didn't help none either. He will be fine once the season starts. I'm just ready to see what he is going to do
 10.
That kid can hoop!
Yes he can, but I know he feels kind of left out that everyone around him is recieving letters and some he is better than are. He will play ball somewhere. Most people dont know this but he is suppose to be a junior, but was moved up a grade in elementary. He is not even 17 yet.
 11.
I am pretty sure that there is definitely a "place" for Devante at the college level.
im sure he will play college ball somewhere but out of all the players in the area that are getting letters in the mail he is the only one that has not gotten any letters at all. not a one
 12.

Devante will be taking a unofficial visit to McNeese State this weekend. Should he be getting more looks from colleges or is he not ready yet for the next level? Thoughts......
I know of another "look" that he recently got.
From where because according to very close sources he has not recieved any letters or phone calls from any schools but I'm pretty sure UNO will be in there soon.

Next best girl's player to come out of the Golden Triangle. She is a 8th grader at Odom Academy.
LOL! I don't usually endorse so-called players on here because I expect a lot if I endorse someone. Let me say this to seal the deal. She is a baller. The best female player I've seen in this area. She played with the Houston Hoops older girls and she was the best thing out there. GOMAB!
I'm almost positive after her 8th grade year she will be atttending Central. And "word on the street" her family has already been contacted by college coaches. I saw her play. I was more impressed by her defense and knowledge of the game at such a early age. She will be something to talk about in years to come.
 15. They should of played that game. They can't back out during the season if toe toe get hurt.
 16. Remember the name Alexis Morris. Next best girl's player to come out of the Golden Triangle. She is a 8th grader at Odom Academy.
 17. He actually been getting looked at by small d1 schools now
 18. Will Chris Elam be Eligible this year??? There is a rumor, and again I said rumor that his eligiblity is up.
 19.

He went to Austin w/ FB Hightower 3 times...And now 3 times at Yates winning two....I would say that he is getting it done wouldn't you? Coincidence? I doubt that...The talent IS coming to Yates now that it has been built...Just as it appears at HJ...Does the talent level dip there? Not much...why does it have to just fall off at Yates....Did it fall off at Lincoln? Ozen? Silsbee? Why Yates?
HJ "talent" is 99% home grown ( of course you already know that and it troubles you)  Yes, it fell off at Ozen
So you tellin me 99% of HJ players are from Nome,China and not from Beaumont????
 20. Who do you guys think is the top 10 players in southeast texas in the class of 2013?
 21. Central vs. Dulles 1999 3 OTs and it ends on a Skip Jackson 75 foot prayer to send Central to their first ever trip to state.
 22.

Like I said him calling his players out was good but some of the things he said should have stayed in the locker room. He was complaining like they were not even in the conference tourney. They had 18 wins when he went off like that to the public. Those kids would have won without him because  they had that much talent. But now since the seniors are gone and 3 out of the 6 seniors he was talking about have a chance to play pro ball somewhere will always be known for the college basketball players on drugs and that will coast them money overseas and scared to be touched by sports agents because of what they coach said on national television about them. Like I said him ranting about things he could of easily handled in the locker room or office had to be brought out in public because he didn't know what else to do. A father with no control over his sons running to a talk show.
Here's the deal.  If you are on drugs, that is a YOU problem.  It's not the coach's fault if you get called out on it.  They're lucky no one went to the police and they got kicked out of school.  I don't feel sorry for college students on full scholarship that risk all they have going to take ILLEGAL drugs for recreation.  They have to be smarter.
And here's the deal, as a coach you are like the father away from home. the locker room is the family's house. You handle that kind of business inside your house, not in the public eye. Like I said before some things are not to be said for the world to know. If LU would of losss the rest of the games it would have been blamed on drugs and it would of been said Knight couldn't handle his team. Since they won he is almighty Knight. So if your son grows up and have a drug problem or tries drugs will you go out and tell your friends he is on drugs? I would hope not, and I would hope you would try to handle that privately in the comfort of your own home. Everything else he said was okay. But if they had been that bad all season why did he keep playing them is my question.
