my loyality and pride says wos but what ive seen both on and off the field i will give the edge to bc  13-0... the attitude, heart, and discipline we're use to has departed mustang land and unless our defense or special teams can score we may put up a fat goose egg.  i hope im wrong and we can find the real mustang football sometime this week.  :'(
It ALL falls on the coaches. The kids are playin' a 112%. Gotta go with the REAL WO-S Mustangs in this one. 112%
I don't think that is accurate.
 2.
This will be my first prediction of the season and i say WOS wins. Defense will shut their offense down and the score will depend on which Mustang offense shows up. I hate to say it, but we hear that this is BC's year every year that WOS doesn't beat everyone by 50 points. Remember folks, were only 10 points from being undefeated. Yeah, we may not be hanging 60 on people but we find a way to win. A win doesn't matter if its 1 or 100. I just really feel that there will be some heartbroken Cardinal fans come Saturday morning
Which offense??  Is there an offense in hiding that hasn't shown itself yet?  I have only seen one offense.  We may not be hanging 60 on people but we have found a way to lose almost as many times as we have found a way to win.  Like you, I honestly think WOS will win this game but it will be if the offense doesn't turn the ball over and we win the field position battle.
 3. Looking at the Poll at the top of this thread....early return has WOS the underdog....previously has WOS ever been considered the underdog in this matchup?
 4.
Question: How is it that WO-S has a NEW play-book/system etc. & yet the OC still insists on running the same 4-plays week in and week out? (working or not) Thank goodness for the defense/special-teams play. A play here & a play there & we might just be lookin' at 0-2 instead of 2-0 in district play. Thankful that the kids are 2-0 with a chance at a playoff spot. I've also noticed a select few of the WO-S coaches spending waaaayyyyy toooooo much time watching the ballgame. Not ALL of the coaches mind you...BUT a select few should reconsider spending a bit more time coachin' up the kids DURING the game and providing some much needed sideline motivation and leadership. I recall from back in the day how CT & other's would grab their group of players & make the necessary in-game adjustments. Not seeing' much of that these days. However, seein' LOTS of coaches with headsets on standin' and watchin'. Maybe I'm the only one seein' this? Here's to lookin' forward to a well played game next week!
I agree.  I know Coach T has his hands full now but that is something that needs to be instilled in this group of coaches.  His in-game adjustments were 2nd to none.
 5. Like Kicker said (and the 19 1st half yards screams) this offense isn't working.  There is no rythm and many times the play looks like it was just ran for the first time in the game.  In the spread they seem to fair better, but still by no means a juggernaut.  I am surprised WOS had 19 in the first half....it was uglier than homemade soap.
 6. Yeah I think Vidor did beat them.  Texas High WRs couldn't run routes and catch the ball!!  Just kidding of course.
 7. I have never coached so I don't know which is a better job.  In my line of work I start with the $$$ LOL
 8.
Fact. Toby Foreman was the OC at WOS and runs the spread offense Fact. Coach Hooks retires Fact. Both Toby and Cornell apply for the Head Coach/Athletic directors position. Fact. Fact Coach Thompson is named HC/AD Fact. Toby resigning and is hired as the WR coach at Texas High under Barry Norton (former WOS OC) I'm sure that took a long time getting through. (Opinion) Fact. Coach Thompson hires Stan Hodges as OC and he doesn't run the spread offense. Fact. It is a better job at WOS as OC than position coach at Texas High.  (Opinion) Fact. Coach Thompson hired Mike Pierce as DC. He was an D I-AA All-American FS at McNeese State. I have a relative who played on the McNeese team Pierce's senior year.  (Random Fact).
Just poking fun
 9.

OK, time to finally drop WOS out of the polls.  Good grief.  ::)
Nobody cares about that silly poll. The problems on offense are serious.  If you toss out the Jasper and Kirbyville games, the only time we've looked pretty good on offense was the first game of the year against Nederland.  In all the other games where we faced good competition, our offense has gotten progressively worse.  This isn't working.  The offense is still making too many of the kind of mistakes that should be ironed out by now - penalties, bad snaps, miscommunication on the play calls, etc.  Also, we are not built to be a "run up the gut" offense.  Our tailbacks are not right for that style.  We've got so much speed to burn...why aren't we running sweeps and using the outside where our backs have space to run and create separation?  Throwing the ball a little more would also help us.  Please, Mr. OC, get a better read on our personnel and maximize our strengths.
The defense is great....the offense has more holes than swiss cheese.
 10. 4th Q....Zero carries or touches besides a punt return for Mr. Renfro.
 11. I dont care if the numbers are equal......the offense is not producing.
 12. I would have bet money that WOS would have more than 1 WOS Offensive TD bythe 3rd Q....and I would have lost
 13.

YEP....zero offense all night.  Making HF defense look like the best defense in the state
My point made.
But it is not "numbers" as you claim.  HF does not outnumber WOS.
 14. YEP....zero offense all night.  Making HF defense look like the best defense in the state
 15.
It's not that our offense is bad and so on, its that the whole team is just going through the game. It honestly looks like a Thursday walktrough practice. It's not the coaching as some want to blame, its lack of hustle, execution, etc... What in the world? Come on Stangs, come out in the second half and play!
One TD through 3rd Q....I would say the offense has some issues.
 16. Listening to the game (couldnt make it tonight)....sounds like Lindsey is not 100%.  Other than that I have to agree with you Kicker....SOUNDS like the Stangs are flat.
 17. Touchdown Mustangs.....Renfro chewed up the majority of the yards on 4 snaps!!!
