1. It was their first drive with positive yards.  However, not much better for WOS.....fake punt from the 50....no go.
2. Two possesions by the Mustangs and Zero 1st downs.  Need to get things rolling
3. Snap over HF punters head and out of the back of the endzone.  2-0 WOS.
4.
Ill say it again, CALM DOWN people! I agree with many people on here that some of the Coach T supporters jumped off the wagon because we barely lost to three good teams. I am not a fair weather fan nor ever will be. thompson is the only man for this job. As for the interview, if you have played for him you would know he pulls no punches. He expects a full effort no matter what. If he called out senior leadership, then you better dang know that is the problem. he is a man of his word and his integrity is second to none. Here is the problem...Coach hooks was a political coach, always spoke to the crowd at hand. He was a spokesman per say. Thompson is not, he is a get it done and no excuses type of guy. Two totally different personalities. Both are great, and both are proven winners. Instead of critisizing and whining, lets band together and support what he is trying to do and that is to create a championship team! True Mustangs dont complain, they take care of business!!!
I am not worried about the record or the margin in which we have lost.  I think you probably hit the nail on the head for myself.  For as long as I have known Mustang football, I have heard maybe the political response in interviews and the newspaper and not the "cut and dry, take or leave it" interview.  Guess it will take some getting used to.  Us fans are a funny bunch....we hear a coach "sugar coat" things and we think "wonder what he is really thinking".  Then a coach gives it to me straight and its like "now he didnt have to go there".
5. I was and am not calling for his head.  I trust his football knowledge.  Just wish he would have handled the post game interview differently.  I will leave it alone.
6. I know folks say things in the heat of the moment and this will have to be something that he works on.  However, he should have stopped at "full responsibilty for the loss, changes are coming, etc."  Hopefully he learns from this as well as the Mustangs learning from tonight.
7.
I believe I heard him say he takes full responsibility for the loss.
I heard him say that too....but he didnt stop there.
8.
Still early guys, give the man a break. District is what matters, WOS played a tough non-district schedule.
I agree...very tough pre-district schedule.  I just don't think he should have pointed the finger at the kids in a radio interview.  Maybe others will disagree and I will come around on the topic.  My initial reaction is that I am dissapointed....yes in the loss but more so in the post game comments.
9. I am all for changes.  Like Coach T alluded to early in his interview...changes are coming.  Stick to "we" need to make some changes.  Not start calling out the players and their short comings on a radio interview immediately after the game.
10. You almost don't see NFL coaches call their players out like that.  These are kids.  I understand that he is pissed...rightfully so.  For a team to have 2.5 more yards than their opponent and walk away with zero touchdowns...you should be mad....AT YOUR OC.  They would run to the red zone and start throwing.  I like Coach T but I hope he learns not to throw his players under the bus like he did.  There is a WE in team and it does not stop at the coaching staff.
11. That was not one of the best post game interviews that I have heard from a Coach.  I have to admit that I am disappointed.  At first he shoulders the blame and then takes every opportunity to point fingers at the kids.
12. I just wanted to know what he was basing his prediction on.  I haven't had a chance to see Giddings play this year and thought he might know something.  "Giddings too much ground game" "Defense too good", "Too many penalties for WOS" etc
13. Yeah, go to KOGT.com.  On the sports tab there should be a place to choose "listen to highschool football"
14. See Gasilla...I told you Giddings would be tough on the ground.  According to the Orange Leader they have a kid that averages over 100 yards a carry!! "The Buffaloes once again will lean on a grueling running attack, sparked by tailback Joseph Glenn. Glenn has rushed for 625 yards on just six carries."
15.
Giddings by 14
And you base this prediction on what?
16.

Predictions are always sure to go wrong.  However, Giddings in the past, has never been a passing team which in my opion plays into our strength.  I do expect a good game but my prediction is 31 - 14 WOS.  I like WO-S having the field goal threat.  I think everyone would feel much different about this game if WOS was 3-0 which could very easily be the Mustangs record.
Giddings had 168yds passing in their loss.
See....my prediction is already wrong.

We have the same problem as the Dallas Cowboys...no killer instinct to put the game away when we need to.
only few will admit that this no longer exists!
I think you are jumping the gun a bit.  This year we have lost two very hard fought games to two 4A opponents.  I looked at the game history for the past few years and I do not see a game where the lack of killer instinct made the difference.  However...tonight after Jasper made it very close...WOS put a killer instinct on display!
19. I am really shocked at the number of penalties WOS has had this season.  It seems that every kick off is penalized and each drive has at least one that they have to overcome. On another note it was good to see Coach Hooks in the stands!
20. I have to go with the Mustangs in this one.  They have two slug fests and will be even more hungry for a win.  I think #43 has a huge game and carries them to victory.
21. I think WOS takes this one in a good game.  They have had a week to rest up and had some extra prep time for Jasper.  I always look forward to this game.
