2019 was another year of progress for Brad Hodges and the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls as the Owls scored an 8-3 record and earned a trip to the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row.  To extend that playoff streak to 3, Hodges will count on seven returning starters on both sides of the ball.

 

COACHING

Head Coach: Brad Hodges

Assistant Coaches: Terry Beadles (Offensive Coordinator), Bill Cowley (Defensive Coordinator), Barry Bennett, Kevin Macik, Chase Williams, Mason Jarrell, Derreck Sicola

 

OFFENSE

Seven starters return to the Owl offense in 2020.  Senior quarterback Cole Werner (2nd team all-district) returns to guide the A-S offense.  Senior back Landon Stem also returns to the Owl backfield but look for senior Rance Imhoff to also get carries.  Senior wideout Ca'Darrius Williams (1st team all-district) will team with junior receivers Corban Shead and Auston Cooper and sophomore Brant Werner with Imhoff seeing some time outside.  Senior tackle Zane Moriarty (1st team all-district) will be joined on the offensive line by junior Duncan Benton and lineman Camren Klawinsky.

 

DEFENSE

Seven starters return to the Anderson-Shiro defense.  Moriarty (2nd team all-district) will lead the defensive line along with Klawinsky and defensive end Martavion Offing.  Benton, Stem and Shead will head things at linebacker.  Williams (1st team all-district at safety) will anchor an Owl secondary which will also include Werner.

Special teams assignments will be finalized at fall practice.
