Nice win Jasper. I didn’t think this game would be close. Saw some other people posting that this would be a close game. I never saw it. I thought Jasper was a much better team. It showed tonight. Center is a pretty good team, but Jasper is one of the top 5 teams in 4a DII.

I wonder could that particular strand of covid-19 can reach to us (11 miles) away from Shepherd if any of those student athletes just happen to come through Coldspring... And God bless the ones that do have it and may He remove it quickly as it was entered in them

Well, there is a distinction that we need to remember which will provide a measure of relief to Bulldog coaches, players, parents and supporters.  The Pirates have lost several players to contact tracing, which means that they have come into contact with someone who tested positive...sometimes that was a fellow student....sometimes it was a family member in the player's household who tested positive.
While there was one in the program who tested positive early in the school year, to this point none of the players who have had to quarantine due to contact tracing have ultimately tested positive.
Now, of course we will see if that trend holds as the current batch that are in quarantine probably have not received the results of their tests.  But it sounds pretty good for folks on Friday night that came in contact with Pirate personnel.

Had a couple mishaps in the red zone but we are still up 14-7 over Crockett. Crockett is athletic so we will need to execute in the 2nd half.

I thought Jasper did good against Carthage, it let me know more about em. Now I think Jasper is definitely a contender come playoff time.

There's no love lost between us and the Tigers, but some of us are more vocal about it than others.  I respect AAW and a couple of other contributors of theirs immensely. but it doesn't bother me that they aren't any good this year. 
We get a lot of crap for being reluctant to schedule them and I've been critical of that myself at times. Maybe people will start to understand what that was all about, including me. 

The offense that we ran when Steven Walker was the quarterback was a great offense. Then we had Tiger at QB and Spikes at running back. Those two young men had that option pitch down to a science. Like I said in my earlier post the offense is so vanilla but if you add just a few sprinkles and some chocolate syrup it'll be a whole lot better.😊

Dawg, you gotta realize, this is Silsbee. The original plan was to grow hay for the Ag Dept in the off season. 

I knew. He eventually brought toby foreman on board after that.
