They are well aware that ANY Republican candidate would walk right over Biden… except Trump. This hasn’t been about destroying Trump, it’s about solidifying his support, eventual nomination, and inevitable defeat in November. FWIW, it also strengthens the resolve of the “anybody but Trump” voters to vote democrat.

May 20: The RANGERS have lost 3 series in a row (rockies, cleveland, angels) and are sitting at 24-24. As of right now they are a team that can't get out of their own way. Starting pitching is good but the bullpen blows it. Starting pitching sucks but bullpen is good. Defense is sloppy, especially the outfield play. Offense has scored 21 runs in the last 9 games. That's 2.3 runs per game. Can't buy a hit with runners in scoring position. The injured list is long and not sure how soon the help will come. Some coaches "fall in love" with one kid while another one who might be as just good or even better gets little recognition. There are a lot of ways this can happen. A "legacy" kid with preferred last name, or a coaches/principals/school board/friends kid, or simply just a personality preference. I think this can be especially glaring in small school ball, but it can happen anywhere. College scouts don't care a bit about last names, etc. That, and they are just better talent evaluators overall than HS coaches and fans.
