  1. Past hour
  2. Fly-out to RF ends the inning. 3 outs for a trip to the regional finals/state quarterfinals. Chester up 11-8. Brookeland coming to the plate with 2-3-4.
  3. Nicholls as you all likely know must lose to McNeese tomorrow for Lamar to be the out right conference champion. That is what most of us want to see. With that said here's an odd scenario that could happen. There are 3 games left in conference play as Northwestern is playing out of conference and 2 of the 4 series are complete. The aforementioned Nicholls vs McNeese and 2 games in the UIW and HCU series are left to play. If Nicholls wins and UIW spilts with HCU there will be a 4 way tie for 5th. McNeese, Southeastern. Corpus, and UIW would all sit at 10-14. No idea on the conference tie breaker for tournament seeds. Truly wish the conference had a better website that already stated this as well as the tiebreaker scenario. It has been one fun season and see you all in Hammond Wednesday. Well, some of you. Go Cards!! Uncle Spidey...you da man!!! Snakehead, thanks for the updates. Everyone else, have a great summer and enjoy what's left of the college baseball season.
  4. K for Chester to lead off. Great diving catch in CF by Coulter for Brookeland for out 2.
  5. Getting heated with the coaches for Brookeland and the umps. I’m not quite sure what is going on. Brookeland coaches contending the fans are cheering too loud.
  6. Yeah… I was on a jury for a custody modification where the dad was accused of being inappropriate with the child by mom. Law enforcement wasn’t involved. The first thing one of the jurors said when we began deliberating was “I’m sorry… but they (the dad’s counsel) didn’t prove that he didn’t do it.” Were you even listening to the instructions?
  7. SB has a runner at 2nd with 1 out. Great sliding catch on a bunt attempt by the Chester catcher for out 2. Runner stays at 2nd. K swinging to close it out with Brookeland’s lead-off. 3 outs - which are the hardest to get. Chester up 11-8
  8. Followed by a quick strike, and then another. Full count followed by a K for the 1st out.
  9. BB for the leadoff. Brookeland trying the Aggie chant “Ball 5”, and the umps are having problem with crowds. Don’t engage parents umps.
  10. Nice cool evening and a great game. First HS game I’ve been too since my boys graduated and played at Evadale. I’ve missed this.
  11. New pitcher for the ‘Jackets. Nephew to my teammate from 86.
  12. 4-3 fielders choice scores another for the Yellowjackets. 1 out and runner at 3rd. K for out 2. 5-3 leaves a runner stranded but the Yellowjackets take an 11-8 lead.
  13. Man - what a game from both sides!!!!
  14. Chester scores 2 on a throwing error from SS. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. HBP loads the bases again with no outs.
  15. Barbers Hill fought very hard but Lake Belton advances 4-2 in a one game playoff. BH has both pitchers and a ton of underclass talent returning. It’s gonna be a great ride!
  16. Chester has something cooking with bases loaded and no outs.
  17. Huntington defeats their district foe 4-0 to advance
  18. E5 has a runner at 1st for the Wildcats. K to close out the inning. 6 outs to decide who goes to the regional finals. All tied at 8, going into the 6th.
  19. 5-3 for the 1st out. Brookeland’s lead-off back up. Coulter singles for the Wildcats. SB for Coulter and advances to 3rd on a throwing error. Line-out to 5 for the 2nd out and freezes the runner. Single scores Coulter. Single scores the runner and a throwing error ties it up at 8 with the Wildcats still batting.
  20. Today
  21. Triple for the ‘Jackets plates 2, and has a runner at 3rd. Chester up 8-5 with 2 outs. 4-3 ends the inning, but a great inning for the Yellowjackets. Chester leading 8-5 going into the bottom of the 5th.
  22. Line out to 2nd for the 2nd out and runners still at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. E5 scores a run, and runners at 1st and 2nd. Chester takes the lead 6-5.
  23. New pitcher for Brookeland comes in with bases loaded and 1 out. First batter faced he walks in a run. E1 attempted pick-off to third scores another runner. We have a tie ball-game.
  24. Looks like a pitching change for the Wildcats.
  25. PB advances the runners to 2nd and 3rd. BB loads the bases with Yellowjackets and 1 out. Chester needs a base-hit here.
