I watched the game thoroughly and the entire OL got absolutely destroyed all game long. On most running plays TC had someone in the backfield about the time the ball was handed off. Defensively, the tackling was horrendous and I don’t think the LB’ers and one of the DE’s made a tackle the entire night. You may say that the talent is there, however IMO you do not play that bad if the talent is there. If they have this talent that you say they do, then IMO they don’t want to win -

Final stats PAM BU Rush 41/242 yards 33/-46 yards Pass 3-11, 46 yds 9-18, 60 yds Total 52/288 yards 51/14 yards FD 18 5 (none in 2nd half) Penalties 2/10 yds 7/70 yds My thoughts: First with Memorial. This was my first time seeing this year. It's kind of hard to gauge just how good a team is when the opponent plays as bad as United. But, some of that bad play was due to the Titans. Memorial defense is very good. Very fast and attacks the ball well. They can bring the pressure when it's needed. Only draw back I saw was in that one offensive drive by BU that resulted in their only score. United QB picked them apart through the air on that drive (was 4-5, 52 yards on that drive, then got hurt). Titan D played a little on their heels in that drive. Outside of that drive, Memorial defense controlled the game. On offense, the run game was very good. Lot's of open lanes to run through. Oline did a fantastic job. Pass game was not that great but wasn't necessarily needed last night. I think that looks to be the weakest part of the offense and basically the team. Memorial will need some sort of a descent pass game in the playoffs. 30 of the 46 passing yards came on the TD pass in the 4th Q by the backup. He definitely looked to be the better passer. Like I stated, very tough to gauge just how good a team Memorial is off this game. As for United, well....... 7 turnovers in 1st half!!! I don't think I have ever seen a game where one team had that many turnovers in a half. Good news is BU didn't turn it over at all in 2nd half. They just went 3 and out on all 4 possessions. United fought bad snaps the whole game. Had 8 in all. Resulted in big losses, safeties and a defensive TD. (Memorial defense had 12 points total last night). Losing Bronson to injury pretty much sealed the deal for United but they weren't beating this Titan team with him. United has zero run game to keep defenses from bringing pressure off the edges. United got beat upfront all night. It was truly an offensive disaster for BU last night. Outside of that one drive where they scored (gained 56 yards of offense on 6 plays on that drive) United had a total of 45 plays for a -42 yards. SMH BU defense actually did quite well last night. They defended the pass very well and stopped Memorial on three 4th down tries. One would think a 56-6 score that the winning team would have more than 288 yards of offense but that wasn't the case. Memorial feasted off the BU turnovers and short fields. I thought United defense did all they could to help keep them in the game (Titans had 3 turnovers as well). In the end, this game was really more about the bad play of United than the good play of Memorial.

Mr. George has the right attitude. Turn the page, flush the Texas City game, rally your kids, and get ready for Dayton. There is still a lot to play for and high school football goes by fast. Love your son, support your kids, and don't let a PN-G game or Texas City game beat you twice. Once you get in the playoffs, its a six-game grind. After the first playoff game, there are no "home" games. All of that, and get the ball to #10 and #8. On defense, run to the ball and wrap up. Enjoy the ride. It goes by fast. Peace. GO INDIANS! -

Go back and watch the game on YouTube Check out 68 on the O-Line and tell me there’s no talent. That boy is a beast (yes I’m his dad) really surprised they don’t utilize him more often just run the ball behind him for guaranteed 5+ every run. 🤷♂️ aside from that they really do have some really good talent on the team with great coaching we just have to get the chemistry right. I believe they will surprise everyone how well they do in the playoffs. They played hard last night against a really good team and they left it all out on the field, I’m beyond proud of the players and coaches. Go Dogs 😎 -

Key to beating TC is get up by 50 and put your backups in in the 3Q 😉. -

This was only his second game to start at QB that I know of and play there for the majority of the game. Before last week and most of last year they would only put him in if the starter would get injured and needed to come out for a few snaps, or if they needed a quick touchdown. Lol -
President Trump has repeatedly dismissed public concerns over the cost of living, characterizing the term “affordability “ as a “hoax” a “con job” and a “fake word” created by Democrats. He is completely out of touch and his policies have proven that. Just look at the economy Inflation out pacing wage gain.

The game went as most expected.. I’ve seen similar things but I’m not gonna act like there isn’t a major talent difference in the two teams either.. I never bought into people hyping Jasper because of the coaches that were hired… You still have to have the jimmys and joes regardless of what some people think. Which is why WOS had a few off years when Hickman was hired regardless of what people say. WOS did what they were supposed to do to a team that they are much better than. One more week until playoffs! -

TC and Dayton both have pretty good teams, don't let previous scores fool you. Last night's game has got to hurt, though, for Bulldog fans. I'm not gonna say that I know how you feel, of course, but I do feel the same way about our loss to Crawford. -

My question for those that are closer to the coaching staff, do they hold the players accountable all the unsportman like penalties? As many as WOS is still committing, when is the coaches and students to blame for not getting better and less mistakes? -

I would agree!!! He might be the greatest football player I've seen at HJ in many many years. The kid is a super athlete. Was he he thr starting QB all year? Silsbee freshman RB #13 is pretty good. #2 had a 40 yard TD run as well. Hopefully Silsbee gets a few guys back this week ans heading into the playoffs. -

I already know!! I watch them and Carthage alot.please, tell me did you read the comments from one of our coaches?? Smh, it's not about the past coaching staff.its about now!! When we're still committing about 70 penalties yards a game.this time of year isn't good.about working on the little things and getting better for the playoffs.the goal is to try to win a state title and not worry about beating former coaches.and all I'm saying is it's bigger than the game.holding kids accountable and have some discipline with them.will carry them farther in life. -
