Hemphill should win this one and several more with this non-district schedule. Pile up those wins now. That district is mighty tough. Next week is The Pine Cone Bowl which will be the Hornets first real test .

Don't forget that when you play in other states, you play by their rules. Texas uses NCAA rules while Florida uses NFHS rules. That being said, STA looked to be the far superior team all game.

Man that sounds familiar. Times have changed here in Mustang land. For better or worse it took a while to get it together. Im so happy they figured out some things. Honestly I do have reservations for December. Better get back there though

Regardless where the fault or faults lay, the buck will ultimately stop with the head coach, just the same like all coaches before. That's nothing personal against this coach, its just the way the system works. Apparently the coach looked like a great hire, and clubs or not, this team and program is not devoid of talent. In light of that, some reasonable expectations exist for this years team. Again, I hope it gets on track. There is still time for that.

The record of previous coach didn't have much to do with coaching up Xs & Os, it had to do with superior talent developed by clubs...not necessarily the local one off of the I10 either. IYKYK. People will be quick to blame the new coach right now, but this isn't entirely their fault...yet; they are working with what was left for them. People should be asking what happened to player development these past few years. The majority of the players in the system play for the same club, to me I would start asking some hard questions of that club and what are they doing to keep these kids competitive, because it doesn't look good. For the ones that aren't in club, very few, what kind of development was being coached up at the HS? The JV team is also having a rough go so far too, so the immediate future does not look all rosy.

My school didn't cancel, but every school district and a college area I drove through to get here cancelled. I may have used a few choice words on the way in this morning.

LPISD just cancelled this morning. I’m actually hoping for a good 2-3”, as long as it’s spread over a couple days. Can’t water the slab fast enough, and we’re one of the few on our block that haven’t had to have foundation repair yet.

My yard looks like a desert. Needles. I'm only worried about tornadoes and lightning. I hope it rains off and on 2 days straight from this if possible.

Wow. This is looking like mainly a rain event but its not going to be fun trying to get kids out of school in the middle of a storm. We do need the rain though everything is crispy!

Those were some fun times. Really enjoyed doing the play by for KFDM games. Sadly, that ship has sailed at KFDM. The parent company is just not interested in doing those type things anymore. Heck, they don't even do sports every night on their newscast. Sad

We need KFDM games back. You know what I'm talking about.
