EC is looking tough this year for sure. They did play 2 larger schools in pre-district play but neither of those teams have played tough games or are picked to do very well in their district. Liberty barely beat Coldspring and is 1-2 and then you have HJ 2-1 but with wins over Buna and Kelly who are both 0-3 and have given up over 40 points per game average in those three games. Meanwhile Orangefield has played 2 smaller schools Woodville who appears to be down this year but are 2-1 and improving. They also already played two other teams in this district Coldspring and Anahuac and beat them both. The other smaller school New Waverly is 0-3 but Orangefield pulled their starters going in to the 3rd Q. With the third game being a rivalry game with Bridge City who just seemed to outlast Orangefield. We all know how rivalry games go you don't ever know what's going to happen. That being I did see the DCTF moved EC above OF in the rankings. Sorry for the book but give me Orangefield for the district title with EC in second.

Legend(s) ? I have heard of the Stelly from Hardin 2009 ? There are no other person(s) named Stelly that are considered legendary from Hardin, I assure you.

EC/OF/Hardin... 1st place will come out of one of these 3. Or maybe a co situation. Or maybe a tri situation. But these 3 determine it this year. Will come down to execution, turnovers (or lack thereof), maybe injuries, eligible, home/away, etc.. who knows why one will play better/worse.

been a heck of a second half, and a lot of fun to watch, but they're done at this point. Crazy that they made the run they did with no Seager, Semien, and Evo. It's a shame because they'd gotten to a place where they could've swept the Stros and been in line for a playoff spot. I do feel good about getting back to the post season next year. The pitching staff should be just as good, and we found a few young guys that should play a role next year.

Who are the teams to watch this season? Any freshmen expected to make an instant impact on varsity this year?

I just find it hilarious that he went from exploiting the Juggy girls to lecturing the right on morality and social stances in less than 20 years.

Yea he’s having some issues hopefully they get it resolved pretty quick. I don’t know if he’s gonna play tomorrow night or not I don’t think he is though it’s gonna be a long year for Anahuac. Hopefully they can figure some things out and and find something to build on

East Chambers definitely has a chance of winning district. Are they the favorite? No. But I wouldn't say there is zero chance.

I'd never completely count EC out either way but although I haven't seen yall in action this year EC looks pretty good judging by the scores. OF is still the favorite for now though.
