So are we saying the lefty from BH is QB1 to begin the season? Sounds like it and that is what I expected to happen. Will be fun to watch.

When I became Manager of Service Merchandise back in 1998 or 1999, as a reward to myself I bought a Mont Blanc fountain pen, roller ball I believe. I paid with my discount $95, which to me is nuts for a pen even today. I told myself that I would not let anyone take it, or misplace it because it cost so much. Two weeks later, I was out $95 and a pen. I let a customer walk away with it......Lesson learned and ever since, I buy pens by the bag or box....lol

District 9-5A D1 Thread 2026/2027

Yes. They're pretty far away because of the track. The stadium had to fit in the exact footprint as old Bulldog. That was all the land that could be had because the strip center owners wouldn't sell. Also, the stadium was built for more than just football. Track was one of the main uses as well. Those seats are perfect for the track events at that end. They've also hosted community movies on the big screen this summer, Veteran's celebrations, and a lot of other events where the endzone seating was actually advantageous. They said it would be for the entire community to use, and they've followed through on that promise. It's being used almost like an outdoor amphitheater for the town. My understanding is the bands and drill teams are supposed to be in the horseshoe this year. I thought it was supposed to be that way last year. But, I don't think everything got coordinated that way due to some construction that was still ongoing, etc. We'll see if it happens that way this year. I think last year was still a learning experience with it not even being completely finished up before the season, and kinks were still being worked out. Really, there's no reason to have to sit in the endzone most games if you don't want. I think The Border Battle and PNG were the only sellouts of the whole stadium last year. Even with PNG, there were still some seats available between the endzones. -
Now there’s a Trump effect. It’s great news though, so it won’t get much attention. lol

The only flaw I saw with this stadium was the endzone seating. It's much too far from the playing field. IMO, that seating is unnecessary. It would have been better to eliminate that seating and add to the 2nd decks on each side. But that would require moving back the press box. That was the only complaint I heard from folks who went to the stadium last season and had to sit in endzone seats. Just too far from the action. -

Since many of y'all haven't been able to come to Bulldog yet because of us being in 11-5A, I thought I'd post this video link again. A lot of the amenities aren't able to be seen when you just come to a game. If you arrive early, you should be able to walk around the entire stadium via the concourse. It's open all the way around the stadium, and is partially covered by the upper deck. So, there's a good amount of shaded area, and you still get the sea breeze. Parking is very similar to old Bulldog. But, all the construction is complete, so no lots are blocked. If you are a traditionalist, it may be different for you because the entire stadium is surrounded by large, surround sound speakers, the ribbon banners around the stadium show graphics like professional venues--as well as the typical scores, down, etc. Yes. There are special effects with the lighting and sound system. But, the stadium never goes completely dark--in case people are walking around the concourse, or wherever. There are picnic tables set up on the home side next to the concession area on the concourse for people to sit and eat/visit/whatever in the shade if they want and still see the field. I'm not sure if they're on the visitor side as well, or not. After last year's 'break in/learning all the tech period', everything is set to go, and it should be a fun experience for all. It's more than just going to see a ballgame. It's an experience. [Hidden Content] -
That last sentence is a massive understatement. But we also need someone to solidify being the 4th starter in the rotation. Houston having to use 17 different starting pitchers this season kind of sums up their season.

What a strange game. He was projected as a guy entering free agency this off season to be worth 100 million on a 4 year deal. Then this season was played....and now he may get a 1 year "prove it deal" at a much lower per season level. Can he find lightening in a bottle for a few weeks? Astros could sure use a hot bat from an unexpected source. -
Interesting article about medical costs, and an article about fuel costs. The GOP fix to the hidden healthcare tax jacking up medical bills Trump just slashed gas prices with one quiet move. Here’s why you didn’t hear about it

Beau Breeden, transfer QB from Lumberton who played JV last year, has been cleared for contact after suffering an injury last season. He will play in scrimmage vs. Lumberton this Thursday.

I knew he was originally from Center. Didn't know about the SA connection. SA did get some key transfers for this season. Will be keeping an eye on those guys this year.

He’s from Center. Brother is on staff at SA. He might chime in on here about it. Maybe. SA had a good offseason haul.

Agreed. SOC is a superior academic destination than PNG and almost all of the schools complaining. -

SOC is an "A" rated school. I believe PNG has a "B" rating. Why do you assume that no one moves to SOC for academic reasons? -
I bet Myer’s stats are better than that.
