Yes, it seems we start most games in the hole, giving up 2-3 runs in the 1st inning. Even with the bad pitching, there were several games in reach with RISP and we just didn’t deliver.

I haven't quite figured her out yet. But, based on some of her recent posts, she should join the Libertarian Party. Right now, she's actually doing a lot of damage--unless you're one of those wishing for the U.S. to turn into a truly Socialist country. She's providing a lot of fodder. I may not like the current situation. In fact, I despise the Party system altogether. But, I sure don't want to see the U.S. turn full-blown Socialist, and I don't think many others on this site do either...even those who despise Trump. I wish people would quit being taken in by the 'You're wasting your vote if you don't vote D or R, so just pick the lesser of two evils" argument. If folks actually started voting for more Independents/Libertarians in Senate and House races, maybe we could break this vicious cycle of crap. Talarico is scaring the poo outta me right now. But, the R's have no one to blame but themselves.

Well, we do bring a few people. We probably average 8-10 a show. The problem when you play 6 -8 times a month, it's really not an event anymore. If you can see us anytime, people won't come every time we play. Our contribution to the venue is keeping people there longer eating and drinking and tipping their servers.

I play in the poker room. Poker is a skill game. I don't mess with the one armed bandits. But I appreciate the sentiment.

Pitching, pitching, pitching. Although their ERA has dropped from 6.35 to 5.78, Houston is still dead last in the MLB. Next highest ERA is Arizona at 5.07. All other teams have sub 5 ERA's. Astros still lead the majors in walks issued (192). 2nd most is the Reds with 166. Houston's WHIP is a 1.63 which is the worst in baseball. Reds have a 1.50. Also, Astros have given up the most homeruns in MLB with 50 and most runs with 209. Nationals have given up the 2nd most runs with 197. Only good stat Houston pitching has is strikeouts. They have the third most in MLB with 326., only behind the Mets and the Phillies with 333 and 330. Houston still leads the American League in hitting. Have a league best in batting average (.267), top 3 MLB in OBP (.346), SLG (.436) and OPS (.782). All those lead AL. Astros lead MLB in doubles (73), lead AL in HR's (44), lead AL in total bases (540). Also 2nd in AL in runs scored (181). Again, let the current record (14-22, 5 back of AL West) reflect that pitching or lack thereof is solely the cause of being 8 games under .500.

Any word on how teams are looking this spring? Will the top 4 come from? LaPorte Port Arthur Memorial Beaumont West Brook Lufkin Beaumont United Who could sneak in the top 4? 6A New Caney, played lots of young kids last year, didn't have a lot of success but will those youngsters develop? I know that they played BH early and were somewhat competitive. Don't know much about them or what GCM has coming back, but either look like they could be in the mix with a little improvement. Will be an interesting race I feel like. 9 teams is brutal

I paid $3.57 for gas last night…… Reagan is right about restaurants….I’ve been doing 6-8 gigs a month at local restaurants/bars with my singer from my band and it has not let up. We are an added expense and they keep paying us, and the venue’s are packed.

He wasn’t “impressed with the talent” for good reason. The 2027 class is horrible beyond all belief. He will need to weather the storm this coming year and try to get the foundation in place to build from in the future.
