  1. Past hour
  2. I didn't know he moved from PA, or else had forgotten; but I remember folks talking about him last season as playing mainly basketball. In any case he doesn't lack athletic ability. IMO it's been just a focus issue. (BTW, I presume we're talking about #10.)
  3. Defense was not the problem vs WOS. The DL played pretty good, the LB ‘ers played hard, they are just slow, and the secondary is the same as the past several seasons, extremely poor They must have the worst secondary coaches in southeast Texas The offense is the major problem. The QB threw well from 1-5 yards, but couldn’t throw longer than that. They have not had a good QB in a long time. The last 2 were good athletes, just simply not QB’s. They could have been good receivers or running backs. The receivers look a little better this year. I couldn’t tell if the RB’s are any good because the OL is absolutely horrible. I am not sure they blocked anyone the entire game vs WOS IMO they will be 3-7 if the OL doesn’t improve quickly
  4. From a long time Mustang perspective. This Nederland team is nowhere close to what I'm used to seeing from the Dogs. Mental errors, poor execution, turnovers, penalties, overall sloppy play? These are NOT characteristics of the Neumann era Dogs. You could always bet they were going to be sound. They weren't gonna beat themselves, turn the ball over, have stupid penalties. You knew they would be disciplined and prepared and you'd have to be the same to get a win. Not that way now from what I see.
  5. Praying for quick recovery and complete healing.
  6. That WR is done for season, defense is solid but running game for WOS will be too much. BC offense will bore you to sleep. If the special teams decides to show up this week who knows. WOS 42 BC 14 (maybe)
  7. WOS by as much as they want. I don’t think BC will score unless WOS pulls everyone in a blowout game.
  8. The defense has come along fine...offense well you said it need to get the ball in the hands of Gestring im also impressed with the play of the sophomore Clay i still think we make the playoffs im not ready to write us off just yet
  9. Looks to me like poverty won and America lost!
  10. Today
  11. Interesting. Always follow the money!
  12. BC only scoring 16 points against Orangefield, well I'd say WOS' defense is a little better than Orangefield's. So I'd look for a WOS shutout or possibly 7-10 points against at the most. I'll predict at least 4 TD's from WOS.
  13. I know it's not looking good so far. But let's wait until district and see what happens. Holding the WOS running back to 103 yards is not bad. Offense does need some work.
  14. You could say that😄
  15. My Uncle Spidey building a coalition?
  16. I watched the Nederland and WOS game. Nederland looked the worst I’ve seen. Not saying Silsbee will win because I feel like we have alot to work on.
  17. Some good games today Washington St at Washington(-23) Wisconsin at #4 Notre Dame(-20.5) #24 Louisville at #9 Ole Miss(-6.5) #19 SMU(-2.5) at Florida St
  18. The offensive scheme is real basic and predictable. Larry Neumann's teams were light years more advanced. Delbert Spell's defense was much more aggressive and disciplined. Those days are gone. It's back to the Bulldogs of the 70s and 80s.
  19. Jackson is a leader who will be missed
  20. Not making a prediction but there is alot of grumbling about the coaching staff over the weekend and its not coming from spidersal😄
  21. Silsbee comes away with the win: Silsbee 28 Nederland 24
  22. Silsbee 28 Nederland 14
  23. Im gonna say Lumberton in a close game
  24. Who so you have? Silsbee 27 Nederland 20
  25. 6 SLC schools went on the road to get a check. All 6 were soundly beaten including LU. SFA beat East Texas in the only conference matchip. LU heads to Idaho to play in one of the few college domed stadiums next week.
