OH BOY - U.S. economy unexpectedly lost 23,000 jobs in July
Porter replied to OpEpsteinFury's topic in Political Forum
Americans still waiting on their tariff check but instead it’s been sent to the big corporations that gouged us to compensate for the tariffs that were implemented. DOGE disappeared like a fart in the wind. Still waiting for the concept of a health care plan that would do away with Obamacare. Of the 250 years of debt Trump has created 25% of it in 5 1/2 years and he still has 2 1/2 years to go. Average Americans are still waiting on affordability but the Iran war took precedence. Great job on the border though. -

Are these shovel ready jobs? The youth of today can’t handle these jobs. They wouldn’t know which end of the shovel is the business end. It’s where I started. I’ve yet to see a Muslim pour concrete, do roofing, plumbing, electrical, or any number of construction jobs. Do they count on job reports even though they don’t work, 7-11s excluded? Are you concerned for all Americans or just the lazy no-counts? Economic policies covers a vast amount of ground. Which specific policy are you referring? Tariffs? If Trump’s tariffs are illegal, how did we ever have tariffs? Were lots of the people jobless due to liberal anti police policies making it impossible for retailers to turn a profit due to allowing ransacking of businesses with no arrests or prosecutions? Walmart and Walgreens have fled some of the big cities just for that reason. How about California tech companies fleeing ridiculous taxes. Maybe their moves laid off thousands and they simply haven’t rehired yet. How about illegals. I’m sure they get counted somewhere to make trump look bad. We know who is responsible for the illegals. Playing the blame game should be getting tiresome for ya. -

I plan on attending 5 Lamar games this season. Aug. 29 Abilene Christian, Oct. 10 UIW, Oct. 24 Houston Christian (homecoming), Nov. 7 SFA and Nov. 21 at McNeese. I have season tickets for Lamar home games. I will be attending at least 3 A&M games: Sept. 12 Arizona St., Sept. 19 Kentucky and Oct. 17 The Citadel (military weekend). This is a 3 game package I bought. I no longer have season tickets. I also have Colorado at Baylor on Sept. 26 on the schedule. Going to see Silsbee's Dra'lon Miller play against his old team. -

I agree. My decision of which Friday game to attend will be based on how things are going into that week. But right now I will go with these games for Week 7: Thursday Baytown Sterling at Beaumont West Brook Friday Port Arthur Memorial at La Porte (2nd choice is Orangefield at East Chambers) Saturday Incarnate Word at Lamar -

Joaquin vs Shelbyville… Friday Night…. It’s hard to say at this moment. I would have to wait until the week of for final decision. I can make a case for almost all those games at this time. But things happen, and can change the course -

That simply reinforced my stance. Only an idiot wouldn’t believe we have used our missiles. Of course we have. But to totally blame Trump for this is stupid in itself. Like I said, and was brought up in your video, let’s retrieve our missile defense systems from Ukraine and our European allies. The terrifying part of this is not the use of our missiles, but to announce our military capabilities to the world. Only a traitor would reveal our weaknesses. I sure hate that that is all you gleaned from my post. MSM.…the enemy of the American people.

Anyone that keeps quoting Massie and MTG are sycophants. Sycophant: Always agreeing: They say yes to every idea, even if it is bad.

In the midst of me putting together my schedule for the 2026 football season, I couldn't help but notice Week 7 (Oct. 8-10) and how on paper it looks to be a doozy of a week for our coverage area teams. Here are some very interesting games starting with Thursday night Oct. 8: Thursday, Oct. 8 Crosby at Kingwood Baytown Sterling at Beaumont West Brook Joaquin at Shelbyville Friday, Oct. 9 North Shore at Summer Creek Beaumont United at Goose Creek Memorial PA Memorial at La Porte Texas City at Port Neches-Groves Huffman at Bridge City West Orange-Stark at Hamshire-Fannett Jasper at Silsbee (Silsbee homecoming) Orangefield at East Chambers Newton at Hardin Fairfield at Palestine Westwood Some very very good matchups for that week. Makes my decision on where to be that week very difficult. Where would you be that week and why if you could choose one of these games?
