Trump is escalating his rhetoric to force Iran to the negotiations table. This is a fact. But if Iran does not give in, what then? Then he looks like a loser who throws around empty threats, and he will actually have to follow through on military escalation. Even if he will not nuke Iran—which he won't—he will need to escalate the attacks to not look weak. That's the problem.
