The more I read about this incident it blows my mind the bravery of these bystanders and teacher. A witness driving by saw the shooter jump over the fence and he confronted him - shooter fired shots into his vehicle. That was equally as brave as it was stupid.....You can't notify 911 if you're dead. Luckily he was not injured and made the first 911 call. The hero of this story seen the interaction with the vehicle and drove into the parking lot, grabbed his 40 caliber and ran to where he heard shots. A female teacher threw her phone at him and started wrestling him and dude came in and put down the shooter. I'm not going to lie, I would be scared to death to walk into a school with a gun and be mistaken for "the shooter" - that was a brave dude on several levels. [Hidden Content]

Dawgs are starting to get serious now. I thought they might want to keep the passing game/timing sharp. But wow! Josh Wells: 275 passing yards & 5 passing TD’s against RSS. No INTs again. Peyton Smith: 8 catches for 200 yards & 4 TD’s. (New La Porte record) Simon was his normal self, and the D continues to get back to their ‘typical self’ now that they have most of their players back. Still were missing our excellent NT against RSS. But, backup played pretty solid.

What positives have come from the Epstein Transparency Act? I've seen no arrest, no investigations, so I'm not sure it's meaningful, unless it just makes folks feel like they accomplished something against Trump. Oddly, during the investigation of Maxwell under Biden, with access to everything, they came up with nothing but Maxwell..... I will also be shocked if Republicans keep both - based on history, the should not keep both. That rarely happens with any administration that holds both houses.

Can someone explain why Trump is purchasing diesel from Russia just months after signing sanctions? MAGA, when has Trump put America first at any point in his second term? He does get credit for our borders. Previous job growth estimates for the prior two months were revised downward. The stark market is on shaky grounds. Lastly, the House has been in recess for 30 days. For 2026 the total is 188 days out of the first 260 days of 2026.

Colmesneil is a very physical football team. Lot's of tenacity. Get after you every down on both sides of the ball. #1 runs hard for them and #32 is a beast at WR. Their defense has a bell cow in #55 on the line. Controls the inside. Lot's going both ways. I would say at least 8-9 play every snap of the game. Credit to West Hardin for not quitting after going down 24-6. Kept battling till the end. Those guys can hit as well. Oilers just couldn't get anything out of their passing game like the Bulldogs did. Both teams run it 85% of the time but Colmesneil was much more effective when they did pass. I think Colmesneil has a real shot at West Sabine. Their physical play can wear on a team that doesn't like that style. Glad I decided to attend this one. Very good football game.

The district as a whole is down IMO......Hard to say how good Ned actually is . With all due respect , I don't see a big push from this district in the playoffs.

I don't care what the scoreboard said, (which was mostly due to the PNG defense, btw). I tend to watch the linemen. And the over-all blocking last night vs what I was seeing against TC was a great improvement. We used to receive individual scores on Saturday mornings for how we did, and for a couple of the linemen vs TC I would have probly got a "c". But, no matter, it was a good game last night. Next Friday should be a good game.

Neither are in the top 10 IMO, but they are both improved in the last few weeks, especially PNG's o-line last night as compared to last Fri vs TC. Next Friday should be a very good game for the district championship.

Was concerned HF might look a little "flat" and they did. Wasn't horrible by any means but a bit lack luster. Hard for teenagers to play inspired football after last week. You would hope for an angry squad trying to regroup, but HF was a massive favorite and again it's teenagers. HJ is not the HJ I coached against 10 plus years. With 4 teams making the playoffs from every district they could very well be the best team in the state that doesn't make the playoffs. Not much consolation to the players and coaches, but that's a decent football squad.

I’m not certain on how good Nederland or PNG is, this may be one of the worst districts they have been in. These teams have been bad! Next week will be the only hard game they have in district play. Good luck and hopefully injury free to both teams.
