I doubt any of the Freshmen players will move up this year. I expect many of these Freshmen will be on Varsity next year though, and they should be ready by then. The first five for Nederland are as good as any teams first five in the district. Adding the 3 or 4 football players will help with rebounding. The only problem is that none of those boys have great basketball skills. So i think with a mixture of starters and a couple football players in there make Nederlands defense and defensive rebounding much better. In the 4 games Nederland has lost had a lot to do with allowing the other team to many offensive boards. I just hope the football players can get into basketball shape before district play.
