Angleton vs Tomball

Recommended Posts

A big pat on the back goes to Tomball. Angleton had several big advantages at their skill positions, but Tomball showed a lot of heart by hanging w/ Angleton in the first half.

#23 on Angleton is a fantastic player. If a defense can contain him, Angleton is in big trouble.

You said it right, Angleton's defense showed lots of holes. Next week will be the end of the road for Angleton.

Same could be said about your receivers.

[/quote] They most likely won't contain him. He is too quick, and too fast. Our O line is awesome at making huge holes in the opposing D line, but If for some reason they manage to stop J. West (23), we have R. Cooper (15) who is equally as good if not better. Either of them can easily outrun/outmaneuver most defenders, and there are several others we can go to including a few excellent recievers. Also, there are a couple of things that you may consider such as; The last quarter and a half of last nights game the 'cats were playing 3rd team guys and STILL put up 723 total yds of offense. The score COULD have been 80-35, but 'cats elected to run out the clock with 1:20 left after interceting tomball's pass at there own 14, so it ended 73-35. (that was not the first int of the game for us either-just remember, the more you pass it, the more likely we're gonna pick it. If you try to run the ball, you won't get far.) As for the D line, they played all game last night with three starters out and it showed in the first half, but tomball still had <60 yds in the second half, and all of the defensive starters will be back in place next w/e, so don't count your chickens before they hatch! You guys need to worry about  getting past your opponent this w/e, and then we can look ahead to next w/e. ;)
