Chase Bertrand from PNG is the best athlete in this area.  Sorry, but that's true.

False, no comparison. Not even close.

My $$$$ is on Montana Quirante. He should be 20-4A MVP and 1st team all district on both offense and defense. Twine is good but can he say that???
He will be able to say more than that. We will see when the awards come out later this year. He is only a sophmore but he will be getting first team honors and a lot more (likely all state) in football, baseball and track also. Your $$$ can be on whoever you want it to be on but Twine is the best athlete in the region and every coach that has had to find a solution for him will agree.

On one more note, this kid wasn't on the defensive side of the ball near as much as he was during his freshman year in which he made a lot of saving tackles and big plays using his outstanding speed playing safety and linebacker! This kid could have easily gotten defensive honors too!!! He and his brother both contributed a major part of the offense from game to game!
I'll have to disagree with you there. He is an extremely talented athlete, but he is not a defensive player. He does not like contact at all!

Jesse James,

That is true..both are good kids and athletes but they are not going to hit anyone! Justin isn't for sure!  Thats why he will probably be straight baseball next year!

Incredible numbers for that kid!! The only bad thing is if you don't have a TEAM around you then you sit at home for the playoffs. Somebody mentioned about lack of defenses he played, and I looked back the games and it appeared there was no defense from either side in about 90% of the games played. With that said, the stats are crazy and the kid only being a sophmore is even more impressive. Good job kid!!

haha...Im sure jesse james hasn't been to a single hemphill game besides maybe the SA game and Im not sure what games wildcat has been at but you couldnt be further from the truth. Those boys proved enough on offense by running over some kids in many of the games all year long and I have yet to see them fall backwards on a carry...San Augustine for one knew they had to hit jordan and justin's feet from under them cause the twines were too strong of runners and thats just offense alone so where does this petty contact stuff come from? Go check out the hudl hightlight of justin when he runs a boy over during the Garrison game ( http://www.hudl.com/athlete/583110/justin-twine )...yea he didnt play much defense at all this year but the kid can bring it and he showed that his freshman and parts of it this year when given the opportunity. As for jordan that kid has made tackles all year long cause he has played more defense and yea that doesnt mean he makes every tackle but neither he or justin is afraid of contact!!!

I agree, there is no weakness in his game. The only reason he was not on defense that much was due to his workload on offense. He is a hammer when he carries the ball as well as a blazer.

Thanks to all that came out and supported the Hornets this season, it was exciting to watch the team improve. Hopefully we will improve even more next year... With a defense lol
