BYU/3rd best player has been suspended for the year!!!!

SDSU and BYU are both solid, but it's a lot like mid-major football.  neither team has played anyone all year:

SDSU's only win over a ranked opponent was against #12 Gonzaga, their second game of the season.  Gonzaga is now 21-9 and unranked.

BYU has two wins over ranked teams... SDSU, and SDSU.  They also had an impressive win over Arizona early in the year, but that win lost some of it's luster with Zona's back to back losses this week.  So realistically, 4 quality wins between them, and two of them came from their head-to-head matchups where one of them had to win.  I don't think either one of these teams would be in the top-3 of a major conference.  Both of these teams are good enough to make decent runs in the tourney, but i wouldn't be surpised at all if they both lost in the 2nd round, either.

Big loss for BYU.  Rumor is that he got his GF pregnant and that violated the honor code.  If every school had a code like that, we wouldn't have very many good college athletes.  ;)

it's a mormon college, scooter.  you go to their college, you play by their rules.  i played soccer at a baptist university.  i hated the school's rules, but i abided by them because i wanted to play collegiate soccer.

it's a mormon college, scooter.  you go to their college, you play by their rules.  i played soccer at a baptist university.  i hated the school's rules, but i abided by them because i wanted to play collegiate soccer.

no argument with that... just saying that you can't pick a religious university and then be upset when they enforce their rules on you.

no argument with that... just saying that you can't pick a religious university and then be upset when they enforce their rules on you.

Listened to a podcast by students at BYU. It was not they had trouble with the honor code, it is the school's enforcement. It seems there is selective enforcement of the code. Some kids get a wink and " don't do it again" and others get hammered, for the same offense.
