Everyone is talking Kirbyville/WOS,  Kirbyville will have to play Coldspring again in order to get their.  Coldspring ain't no pushover.  They had a very tough game the first go around.

People are PREDICTING. That's what you do. Kirbyville is better than coldspring. Yet they could lose. Nobody denies that. Kville has better players/coaches if u ask me tho so I would say they SHOULD beat them. Again. Prolly worse than week one. WO-S is going to have Giddings come round two. That is prolly a better team than coldspring.

I disagree...  I think Brandon Williams and Brookshire Royal will end Giddings' season here in Brenham on Friday.  If that happens, WOS will play the best athlete they've seen all year.  I can't wait wait to check him out Friday.
Brookshire beat them by 3 earlier in the year but they have lost 3 of their last five games and was third place team in district? Don't think they can take Giddings again

05-Nov @Navasota* L 31-7

Brookshire Royal(2-2/7-3)

27-Aug Wharton W 40-28
03-Sep @Giddings W 34-31
10-Sep Cleveland W 39-6
17-Sep Hempstead W 32-14
24-Sep @Sweeny W 39-25
01-Oct Caldwell L 21-15

22-Oct @Columbus* L 29-20
29-Oct Bellville* W 34-0
05-Nov @Sealy* L 44-42

Based on their records I would GUESS that Brookshire is better.  Looks like they gave Sealy all they wanted in the last game.  Both teams lost their last game and have given up some points on the season.

Ya, but their last loss was to a good Sealy team by 2 points.  They were 4 yards away from winning that game, but they were out of time-outs and they ran out of time.  Giddings is 5-4 on the season, so they have 1 more loss than Brookshire.  The teams are about even, but i'll take the team with the star in that situation to break the tie.

How about a WOS vs BC regional final at the Butch?
I'll be at that game, sitting right next to the flying pigs and Elvis Presley.
If the Stangs get by Giddings or Brookshire and I like their chances you never know.

I think that Coldspring and Kirbyville are very evenly matched.  It was a close game before and it will be a very close game the next time they meet if that is too happen.  I do believe they will meet in the third round, but there are a few games before that.  I think the coaching is very even also.  I like are chances against Kirbyville if we meet again, but we have to take care of some other business first.

WOS faced Williams last year and won 49-6. I think the defense would be OK. As for the "best athlete they have seen all year", Williams is definitely a stud, but WOS has seen a few of them this year. Ford (Kville), the QB from Fwood and Menard (BC).

As for our matchup with either, both of them are giving up a ton of points. Anything can happen, but I think the Stangs will be focused and up to the task, if they are fortunate enough to get to play either of them.

Yes your right brookshire has the same talented running back that had about 50 yards on 30 carries against wos last year at his home field! Not too worried about one man beating us! Neither team in that match up has a defense so i still like our chances in that round! But first games first!
He's quite a bit better this year.  Not saying WOS will lose, but he's the most talented player they will face.

Yep, Brookshire will most likley get by Giddings. WOS will be up to the task, Coach T has the defense playing really tough right now.  If the offense can get in gear against better competition no telling how far they can go.  Most polls have WOS making it to the regional final with Kville. I'm not worried about one player beating WOS. If all you have is one weapon against a Cornell Thompson defense - you won't even never get it loaded.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
