Vidor vs. Dayton Predictions?

It's only Monday and Saturday can't get here quickly enough!  Welcome to the playoffs Vidor; I hear it's been awhile.  You've seen the spread offense from PNG and Nederland but my guess is you haven't seen a 3-4 defense this season.  Gonna be coming at you from all angles Saturday

Don't want to look ahead, but I looked at a few of the boxscores for Yates...40+ rushing attempts and 5 or 6 passing attempts per game....same for waller.  I tried to look up some Vidor stats, but they suck so much that a vacuum formed and all of the 20-4A information disappeared.

It's the same deal every year with HISD teams....they play nothing but other HISD teams including the first round of the playoffs and then get drug by the first team they play outside HISD in round 2.  Vidor/Dayton winner will be in the regional semi against El Campo against Brenham/PNG/Angleton.  Brutal bracket down there.

El Campo is a primarily a running team also.  They average about 5 passing attempts per game.  This portion of the bracket shapes up well for a team that can stop the run.

I saw both teams play this season and i think the only edge dayton has is they are in the playoffs every year i would love to see dayton knocked out by the pirates even though there my neighbors the V town is where i was born and raised till i moved to liberty but it should be a shootout

This will be a good tune up game for Dayton. I really don't think 20-4a is all it cracked up to be. Dayton never missed a beat in that district and I don't think it would have changed this year.

I remember last year's talented Dayon group had heck stipping Livingston and their offense last year.  Guess what?  Vidor runs that same offense and in my opinion haveing seen them both, Vidor runs it to perfection with really good backs (Just as good as Jackson from Livingston).  If Vidor sneaks in some tricky passing plays, this game can become scary for Dayton.  Also, this team have played against and did good against some fast and athletic defenses.

I haven't seen Vidor, do you feel Vidor runs it better than Livingston did last year?

IMO, Dayton's front 7 is better than last year, most are returners and will fare a litte better this time around.

Yes, they run it better than Livingston last year.  The difference is that Livingston did have a beast at QB who could take it to the house on any play.  Vidor's QB will not be a threat running.

I have seen so many people bashing Vidor on this thread. These boys have worked hard to get to the playoffs. I think the deserve a little more respect than what some are giving them. I know some may not like Vidor and that is ok, that is their choice, but please dont come here to be negative. This is a predictions thread not a bashing thread.
