Glock .45 acp model 36

Do any of you have one? Academy has them cheap ($550.00) and I want one but before I purchase I'd like to hear some first hand information on them.

I passed up on the Glock and got a Springfield HD, and I absolutely love it.

I don't have one but I have shot one. I hate the old Glock .45's because of the way oversized handle but the new slimline SF frame ones are much better. For a light .45, it doesn't kick much and you can do fairly quick follow up shots. If I had to pick between the Glock and the XD, I would go with the Glock. It has a much longer track record than the XD and is proven reliable. Some people like the feel of the XD but I don't. That part is personal preference.

The Glock is about as close to maintenance free as a pistol can be. Both good guns but if it was my choice, the Glock would get the nod.

Thanks guys...I've got to do some saving but I'm gonna go with the glock. I held one the other day and I like the feel of it.
