The defending postseason champion will be the top seed in the 2008 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship, which is scheduled for May 21-25 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The Aggies will open play on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. against No. 8-seed Oklahoma, then meet No. 5-seed Texas on Thursday at 4 p.m. After a day off Friday, A&M will conclude pool play on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against No. 4-seed Missouri. Texas A&M finished league play with a 19-8 record, including a Big 12 and school record 16 consecutive conference victories from March 28 to May 11. Started out 3-3 and then won 16 in a row to be 19-3, then lost 5 in a row, but fortunately put enough space between them that Nebraska and OSU didn't catch them.
