They have a GREAT team this season.  Yes, back in the day GP didn't have much of a team. And the school was not known for much talent. They have it, GREAT defense, GOOD pitching, true, they need some bats going, but give them the respect that they earned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They lost 3 games this (DISTRICT) season, but they are just as good as New Caney, Huffman & Barbers Hill.  People, just wish them luck to advance.

We have waited for a VERY LONG TIME FOR THIS.  Let us enjoy.[glow=red,2,300][/glow]

same old vidor.its easy to talk about being a district champion, and going deep into the playoffs,but try doing first. GP does not have to answer to vidor,they took care of business on the feild,all they have to say is who's next.what happened to all the talent vidor had,and the whiz kid manager?

Someone tell me what GP did to win both games ?  Was the pitching better than what the Pirates faced with Harrington and Lott? How about the style of ball GP played, small ball or wait for the 3 run homer?

Defense, did they get to balls that were hits in district?

No one from Vidor has said anything negative about GP.  You're a clown and making GP look bad...  Enjoy it while you can because you're done.. >

Vidor simply went cold at the plate.  Both games were really well played.  Neither team made many mistakes.  They're wasn't alot of offense from either team.  GP has some good speed at the top of line up and they rely on that.  They're #1 pitcher is pretty good.  It seemed like we were having a hard time picking up his pitches.  They're #2 wasn't over powering but threw strikes and they played good defense behind him.  Although they did a great job against us, I wouldn't compare them to Harrington or Lott..
