Nederland radio broadcasts

Harold Mann has been let go by IHeart Radio, KLVI 560. He was the voice of Nederland football broadcasts on KLVI.

Not sure what this will mean for Nederland radio broadcasts. Will KLVI continue to broadcast their games with someone else or are they getting out of the business all together?

This also greatly effects Lamar athletic broadcasts. Mann was the play by for all their broadcasts.

Be curious to see where KLVI goes from here.

I just spoke with Harold. He doesn't think KLVI will drop sports broadcasts (Lamar, Nederland). He anticipates contracting out with KLVI to continue doing radio broadcasts of Nederland football and Lamar Athletics. Might be on a reduced broadcast schedule but should continue.

We will see come September.

According to the schedule that I saw it is Bridge City and then Lake Charles Barbe.

If Barbe is still Barbe that Nederland run defense will get tested.

Unless Nederland can produce some LB’ers and secondary people, their defense will continue to be bad
