Lead in many offensive categories in the AL.

I heard the announcers say Walker leads the league in doubles. He almost hit for the cycle today, missing out on the most difficult hit, the triple.

Astros lose 12-10 in 10 innings.

Abreu with a blown save. Gave up 3 run homer.

Houston 6-4 in first 10 games.

Abreu at his best.  Jeckle and Hyde  Fun game to watch.  Except for our miscues.

My take…..great back and forth game. Astros up 3-0, down 5-3, tied @ 5, down 9-5, tied @ 9, up 10-9, lose 12-10. The one play I can pick out that really made the difference was the fly ball Myers lost in the sun. They have glasses for that. Best play was Altuve’s diving grab over 2nd base, turn and gun the runner at home for the 3rd out.

Astros are averaging 7 runs a game. Lead MLB in several offensive categories.

Flip side, Houston is giving up 5.5 runs per game. Astro pitching is in the bottom quarter of the league in most of the pitching statistics. Only top 5 category is strikeouts and Opponent OBP.

+1 baddog.  We need the Astros to play clean baseball, keep the bats hot, and hope the pitching comes around.  Maybe Abreu will break out of his funk and have a big year?  I know its only been 10-games, but I'm a tad concerned about him.  On to Colorado and Seattle.  GO ASTROS!!!

I guess teams play to the competition, it’s something I’ve heard before, but it seems the Astros struggle with last place teams like the A’s, White Sox, Rockies,….etc. This is not a knock on the Stros, just an observation.

The inning from hell wins most games. Hindsight….maybe should have left Bolton in. It doesn’t matter now. Long season.

So far (11 games), it's been pretty simple.

Astros offense (MLB leading) has won them 6 games.

Astros pitching and defense has lost them 5 games.

Houston leads MLB in just about every offensive category.

Houston pitching is 28th (out of 30) in MLB. An ERA right at 6 (5.75)

Personally, I am willing to have the offense drop a bit if it means our pitching can get to around 4 in ERA.

Colorado sweep. Not much else to say.  Statistics are nice but if you don't win some then stats don't count much.

Astros Friends, I'm afraid our Astros may have a long and ugly season in 2026.  After last night's 9-6 loss @ Seattle, our beloved Astros are 9-10 on the year and struggling with a five game losing streak.  Ouch!  Our starting pitching is hurt (Brown), or has too small of a sample size to say if they are good or bad (LJM), or they are not very good (the rest of the group).  I've got my unwashed 2022 Altuve jersey out of the closet (I last wore it for game six of the 2022 World Series vs. Philly), my rabbit's foot out, and my rally cap on.  Time to break the five game losing streak and get on a five or six game winning streak (fingers crossed).  143 games left!  Time to go 143-0.  GO ASTROS!!!

Houston is either first or second in every offensive category. Astros average 6 runs a game. Only the Dodgers average more runs per game (6.34)

Astros are dead last in just about every pitching statistic. Have an MLB worse 6.32 ERA.

Even the mighty Yankees have lost 3 in a row. Lol. I have no answer for our pitching. Imai has control problems. Javier, even though he is injured, has not had a stellar year so far. I’m always ready to get behind my team and go along for the ride. Even when we’re losing, I’d rather watch baseball than just about anything else tv has to offer.

I believe I said at the end of last season that the GM should have been fired. He did absolutely nothing in the off season to acquire a good pitching staff

Abreu strike again lose 8-7 with Mariners walk off single in bottom of 9th .  First time since 1991 that Stros collected 17 hits and lose... Just a shame.

That one really stung. Everything going great until McCullers started losing control. Espada needs to know when to pull.
