baddog Posted yesterday at 01:42 AM Author Report Posted yesterday at 01:42 AM I heard the announcers say Walker leads the league in doubles. He almost hit for the cycle today, missing out on the most difficult hit, the triple. rupert3 1 Quote

baddog Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago My take…..great back and forth game. Astros up 3-0, down 5-3, tied @ 5, down 9-5, tied @ 9, up 10-9, lose 12-10. The one play I can pick out that really made the difference was the fly ball Myers lost in the sun. They have glasses for that. Best play was Altuve’s diving grab over 2nd base, turn and gun the runner at home for the 3rd out. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Astros are averaging 7 runs a game. Lead MLB in several offensive categories. Flip side, Houston is giving up 5.5 runs per game. Astro pitching is in the bottom quarter of the league in most of the pitching statistics. Only top 5 category is strikeouts and Opponent OBP. baddog 1 Quote

We need the Astros to play clean baseball, keep the bats hot, and hope the pitching comes around. Maybe Abreu will break out of his funk and have a big year? I know its only been 10-games, but I'm a tad concerned about him. On to Colorado and Seattle. GO ASTROS!!! baddog 1 Quote

I guess teams play to the competition, it’s something I’ve heard before, but it seems the Astros struggle with last place teams like the A’s, White Sox, Rockies,….etc. This is not a knock on the Stros, just an observation.
