Players missing games (for whatever reason) does matter. Particularly on the high school level.

I have seen betting lines move so much when a player or two is announced to miss a game that even sometimes it switches from one team to the other on being the favorite.

No one is making excuses. Just stating the fact that Silsbee's best team will not be available for this game.

HF has been without their best player for a few weeks now. He's out for the seasons with an injury. So both teams will not have their "best" team out there.

I agree.

But HF has had time to adjust to that one player missing.

Silsbee missing 4-6 here of late is a bit different.

I agree with what you're saying completely. Not knowing who is out for silsbee makes it more difficult to understand how bad this hurts them. If its a combination of their QB, LB, DT then it really hurts silsbee in this game. Regardless, missing multiple starters in small 4A is tough to overcome.

I'll just say these 4 and maybe even 6 are very significant players. 

QB will play.

I agree it makes an impact, but teams all across the state are dealing with injuries/grades/discipline and must overcome. My point was lets not make an excuse if HF beats them. Teams all over are dealing with players out and are forced to overcome.

Forgive me if it's already been stated somewhere and I missed it, but what is the reason these players are out?  Is it classified info?  Were laws broken or is it simply grades?

Why is it important to you as to the reason for these players missing these games?

Non injury related. Not grades.

Every school/team has their own policies and rules. When broken, consequences come.

Didn't know that.  Learning as I go perhaps.  Was just hoping they weren't all in a bad car wreck or something.  You never know with kiddos these days.

Hard to say without knowing which players are out, but it seems like HF should be the favorite. That said, silsbee can still win this game. The horns are going to have to play well to take advantage.

Sealy and La Vega will b hard to beat, depending on what round you catch em. Bellville is no slouch either. All to see who gets go to Jerry world and get hammered by Carthage

Yeah Bellville and Sealy play tomorrow night so I’ll have a better gauge on them… As long as the Sealy QB is healthy I think they can beat anyone in the region.

Pulling for you Silsbee. My grandfather is rooting from above. He was a 1943 graduate and a star basketball player. His scholarship was lost due to WWII.

Silsbee needs to have more big plays over 25-30 yards. I just haven't seen slot of that out of this year's offense.
