AggiesAreWe Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Going to ride with the Mustangs. 28-24. Quote
bullets13 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago After what I watched Friday, give me Crawford by 17, 38-21. Huge, fast, and talented. The HF score was a little misleading. That game snowballed late, but Crawford is really good, and they’ll have the best QB/WR combo WOS is likely to face this season. Quote
1970 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago I'm pulling for WOS, but it don't look good, just based on what my neighbor (who was at the HF game) was telling me, plus what bullets13 reports. Quote

Yes i don't believe they can afford to give up 24 points against good teams. The offense may not able to keep up without a proven passing game. It's going to be rough. Quote

Our kids need to be coached up to limit the big plays this week The qb is very solid. Throws a pretty deep ball and has the line to give him time to get it off and the receivers to go up and catch them. The wr is something special. 4-star junior committed to Texas, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds another star between now and the end of his senior season. He went for 7/219/3 against us, and added a 78-yd punt return for a 4th score. Y’all’s secondary is probably better than ours, but still. We had decent coverage on most of their big plays and still couldn’t stop them. Quote

How good is the Crawford OLine is the question? I think WO-S may be able to apply more pressure to help in defending Crawford's pass attack. Quote

I think they’ll do better than HF in both of those areas, but I don’t think they’ll do better enough to win the game. AC’s quarterback was also very tough to corral when the pressure did get through. Was the line good because HF’s isn’t strong? Was HF’s D-line struggling because their O-line is huge and good? Might be a combination of the two. That said, I expect it to be a closer game than the HF game. The stangs will have to play a good game. They aren’t going to “out-athlete” them. And they’re deep. It was a 2-score game going into the fourth, but our boys were wiped and it got out of hand. One thing that will help the stangs is that Crawford is undisciplined. Tons of penalties, and many of the 15-yd variety. Apart from the implications a WOS win would have in regards to their matchup with HF later in the season, I would love to see the mustangs pull this one out. I could be wrong. Lord knows I have been plenty on here. Maybe HF is a shell of the team they were last year, but based on their first three games it seems like they’re still pretty solid. Quote
