AAW, curious on your thoughts about HF after seeing them play in person.

HF is very good in the skill positions. QB, RB and WR are all very solid. QB is much more mobile than the QB of the last 2 years. He can hurt you with his legs as much as with his arm. But, sometimes his legs get him in trouble. Took some big losses trying to avoid pressure instead of throwing it away. That was some inexperience showing thinking he can always make a play. RB are solid. They have their own Swiss Army knife in Pirtle. He lined up as RB, WR and sometimes as QB in Wildcat. He is their ultimate weapon. WR group is good. No real game breakers but very solid pass catchers. OL is definitely the weakness of the offense. Hitchcock got plenty of pressure and actually did a good job against the run other than a few blown assignments and QB scrambles. All in all, HF offense is very potent.

Defensively, HF is good in the secondary but the front 7 needs improving. Got a little pressure on the QB but Hitchcock OL is not good. Hitchcock never really tried to run consistently to see how well HF was against the run. I can see a team with a good OL being able to run the ball against HF with success. Secondary is solid. Pretty much the same group at WR is what you have in secondary. Very good skill wise.

HF is very well coached. They have those kids prepared.

If OL improves and defensive front gets better, HF will definitely be in position to defend their district title.

Pirtle had 12 carries for 102 and three scores, 5 catches for 38 yds, 13 tackles (12 solo, 3 TFL), an INT, deflected another that was picked, and forced a fumble that was recovered for a touchdown. Swiss Army knife is a good description. If the WRS awards had a utility position he’d be tough to beat
