No offense, but Barbers Hill isn’t mainstream America. Just because Dems are at an all-time low approval doesn’t mean the voters will switch Parties, and it doesn’t guarantee Republicans will show up to vote Republican. I’m reading a great number of both Parties are moving Independent.

Texas will lose as many seats as California if illegals aren’t counted.

I want less government intervention—from either Party.

Its called "Mont Belvieu" not Barbers Hill, that's the name of the school. In any case I was not referring to any specific locale. A Communist mayor in NY will cause nothing but problems for the Democrats nationally. The nation will watch NY implode on TV.

I do not believe TX will lose seats like CA, because CA is losing both illegals and productive Americans moving to red states for a better life. I think TX, FL and TN are gaining population even as illegals are being deported, while NY, CA and IL are losing both illegals and Americans.

I was thinking about y’all’s QB situation, and had BH on my brain. Sorry.

I’m not sold I see SCOTUS approving a change in the census/apportionment. If they don’t, seat apportionments won’t change until 2032. Long time away.

As far as NYC imploding, it won’t be seen by the majority. How often do you see anything about Chicago that’s not on Fox?

I don’t think the majority are that engaged. You have more faith in the everyday voter than me I guess. I also think you underestimate the allure of ‘free stuff.’ (Didn’t you post something about Jesse Waters interviews and other people on the street interviews, or was that someone else?)

But, you could be right.

I fail to see how very likely electing a Socialist/Communist Mayor of NYC and Seattle, already having one in Chicago, and—closer to home—having basically a Socialist Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and 2 Council Members reflects people waking up.

Well yes in certain sectors socialism is there…. but from what acquaintances from said areas(nyc and Harris county)have told me people are moving out of those places and it’s not just conservatives but moderates and fringe dems.

Should they even be considered the “Democratic Party”……the name has been hijacked IMO….not that makes a difference to me nothing has ever appealed to me on that side.  I ve voted mostly conservative with some libertarians sprinkled in.

I’d say the Democratic Party hasn’t been ‘democratic’ since 1968 when they introduced superdelegates. But, how many Democratic voters even know that? They actually still think their vote counts even though for two consecutive cycles they’ve been shown it doesn’t.

More delusional than even the rest of us.

My vote in Harris County hasn’t meant much since 2008. Might as well be in Travis County, even though La Porte is the most conservative voting area in all of Harris County. Just not enough population.

Pretty sure folks on here are aware of how I typically have voted. Still, I always look for the least intrusive candidate’s policies. IMHO, we’ve already given up enough personal liberty. We can’t afford to lose any more.

I gave blood for our freedoms. Not to be controlled by either Party.

Rs are no better, and possibly even worse than, the Ds.

Dims/libs are out burning down cities, assaulting LEOs, Federal Agents, etc.... but whatever makes your sleep at night

Definitely a concern for Democrat leaders in high crime cities.  Folks that have been conditioned to that being the norm might take notice and want that in their city.

One more reason democrats shouldn’t be in charge of anything, ever!

DCT, feel free to quote me on that, also.

What does “cleaning out homeless encampments” mean? What are they doing with the encamped?

The DOJ employee that threw the foot long subway sandwich at the agent got fired, and is now charged with a felony. Next time, he needs to stick to a 6”. That would only have been a misdemeanor.

Ask Newsom. He cleaned them out for his buddy XI. Not a problem.

……and don’t forget, during Covid, when masks were scarce, Newsom called his biddy XI and had them sent special delivery. He’s a communist, but don’t admit it.

Homeless encampments have been cleared out locally…..under freeway overpasses, out of woods by Home Depot (the woods are now gone)….etc. Where they go is a good question…..hopefully to get cleaned up and find a job.
