AggiesAreWe Posted 14 hours ago Author Report Posted 14 hours ago Lumberton 1st team offense failed to pick up a first down on their 12 offensive plays. Maybe got 4 yards total offense. Second units in for both teams for 10 plays. Quote
Silsbee92 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Silsbee 2nd Possession First down /Punt FollowedĀ I believe SO Carter Howard taking first team RB snaps so far.Ā Good first step with downhill contact.Ā Seems to have a taste for the game. Ā Defense forces punt. Quote
Silsbee92 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago BC has some questions at QB for sure but special teams looks solid so far on kicking side.Ā Defense keeping Johnson in pocket for now. Quote
FALCONS2026 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Huffman getting the best of HF. Good work by both teams. Sophomore QB for HF looks solid. Quote
Silsbee92 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago BC found a little rhythm on 3rd possession but another "sack" from Walker and a dropped pass stalls the drive. Ā Silsbee 3rd possession ends in punt. Johnson throwing off back foot almost results in pick.Ā Edge rush by BC forcing Johnson into rushed throwsĀ Ā Ā 4th possessionĀ SilsbeeĀ 14 Plays / 70+ yds 4 First Downs ends in FG Johnson settling in w/ electric plays Silsbee RB depth has solid future. Ā BC 3 and Out Tough running with no gaps available Silsbee LBs knocking down passes and filling up passing lanes.Ā Several near picks Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 13 hours ago Author Report Posted 13 hours ago Mustangs finally score in live quarter. Quote
Silsbee92 Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Silsbee @ BC (Rough Stats) 12 Min Quarter (2) Ā Silsbee (30 Plays) Rush (17) / Pass (13) First Downs (9) Punts (3) FG / TD Defense w/ 3 "Sacks" Ā Bridge City (15 Plays) Rush (8) Pass (7) First Downs (1) Punts (4) Defense w/ 1 "Sack" Ā Summary: Silsbee got better every possession w/ Johnson finishing up 6-7 of passing for the two "Scores". Solid run game inside and outside w/ downhill action. Ā BC defense not bad early but once Tigers got a rhythm in run game they couldn't stop them. BC offense never got comfortable with good pressure from dline. Jmo Who That 1 Quote

FALCONS2026 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Huffmans 1s scored 4, HF 1s scored 1 over the course of the whole scrimmage. HFs 2s bested Huffman 2s by a wide margin (I think 4-1).Ā In the live QTR Huffman scored 1 on 2 possessions, HF didn't score.Ā Most important part looks like both teams made it out healthy! Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted 12 hours ago Author Report Posted 12 hours ago In the controlled part, WO-S scored 3 TD's (2 for 1st team and 1 for 2nd team). Lumberton did not score and only picked up one 1st down. In the two live quarters, WO-S scored 1 TD. Lumberton did not score and never crossed the 50. Overall, WO-S scored 4 TD's, Lumberton 0 TD's. Mustang defense looks really really good. Lumberton looks like they could struggle this year. Just first scrimmage. Lot's of football to be played. Quote
Guitar Man Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago BC/Silsbee summary. 1s V 1s both offenses struggled. The only TD score came at the very end of the live half with BCs backups in and a couple of JV kids that were pulled up. Overall, both defenses killed it. Both offenses need a lot of work. Think both teams will improve offensively and have a great year with that kind of defensive showing.Ā Quote

I think wos return 10 out of 11 starters on defense . Dline was huge and physical, defensively they are really good. Good scrimmage for both always tough to face a tough physical defense right off the bat. I think lumberton looks better than last year and defensively they didnāt play bad.Ā bullets13, navydawg31 and BBfan061 3 Quote

Huffman should be very good this year. HF is still going to be a solid team, but they lost some huge pieces last season. Their offense will go as far as Broussard, Pirtle, and Reed can take them. The defense has some holes to fill as well, but it seems like every year some kids fill in and become big time players in the LB core and secondary. Here's hoping HF can get close to the level they were at last year. This district we're in is no joke. Quote

HF will be fine but they are not that good in the trenches on both sides of the ball. LB's are on the small size and not very fast. He said he would be curious how the QB does when the defenses are allowed to make contact. Quote
