from the left talking about these insurrections? CB, this coming from the left and being incited by democrats, aren’t you disgusted with all of this? Oh yeah, you’re one of those fence riders who only opposes demonstrations from the right. I get it. Really not opposed to insurrections, just those where Trump may be involved. What a stance.

1. This wasn’t an attempt by a failed candidate and his supporters to stop the peaceful transfer of power at the federal level.

2. More importantly, a former President being indicted for 34 different crimes is a much bigger story. If not for this, the “Trans Weekend of Rage” would have been what the news was obsessing about this weekend.

Good spin. Make excuses for one and condemn the other. The hypocrisy of the left never disappoints.

I’m not “the left.” I’ll bet that I’m more conservative on fiscal and social issues than you… I’m just not blinded by my loyalty to an egomaniac would-be despot.

Aka…. Fence rider. You play both sides. What could be more convenient and safe?

Lol.... you say "safe" like it's a bad thing.

A wise man once said "don't mistake lack of talent for genius."   Don't mistake "hard" for being right, either.  Just because your candidate makes it hard for people to vote for him doesn't mean he's the right choice.

He made it easy for you twice. Did you feel safe doing that?

No wise man ever said that.

Please seek help.

These are public servants and political parties, not sports teams. So tired of this peanut brain logic of having to “pick a side” when both sides suck

I doubt very seriously that one can go to the library and find any books on the great "fence sitters" in history.  Just saying!  :)

    • The main reason? He’s not Trump.     it worked in 2020 and it’s going to again in 2024.    Repubs: “Nuh uh!!!”
    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
