For Pee Wee and junior Division we would stretch all the kids and right from the get go you can see what kids will pay attention and understand just from the stretching part after stretching we did the  30 yard dash on the kids. Only a select few are running over 40 yards a good time, so naturally we have stayed away from that. With one coach standing at 10 yards clocking that time one at the 20 yard and then the rest at the 30 clocking that time.

We always went to straight into the kids running a post route and see how well they catch the ball as well as kids throwing the ball. You would be surprised how many qbs we found by doing that. The bigger kids that you know will be lineman we usually get them to stand-off to the side ask them to simply get in a 3 point stance and see what kind of form they have and flexibility as well and get them to hold it. And maybe a few 5 yard sprints out of the 3 point stance.

The W drill and then the 3 cone shuttle drill. Split the kids in half makes time go by faster. Once each group is down flip flop. Saves time and lot less kids on one drill.

Then we usually cap it with a little simple tug of war just get a simple dog toy with rope or even a towel and get them to pull it and you will see heart, desire, aggression, and leg strength.

Thanks, i didn't think of doing the tug of war for tryouts. we do it in practice a lot, the kids love it and its good to see who has a lot of fight in them.

    • If the voting public is so flaky that 3/4 will turn against her because of this news, why didn't they also turn on Obama when it was discovered that he actually ate dog? Maybe because the media didn't play up his transgressions? And if that is the case, how much power does the media have? They can sink a career for killing a dog, but dismiss and bury a story of eating a dog? How influential would the media be if someone other that Trump won the nomination. Let's say DeSantis was the Republican frontrunner...how easy would it be for the media to bury his candidacy...instead of him having that perceived cakewalk to president? I'm just thinking out loud.
