spoonbill Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 Definitely True: Good Ole' Home Cooking!"Raider Nation has a way of getting the benefit of the doubt from the officials as crucial times at home, big advantage Lumberton."There is about 60 students who will move from Ozen to Lumberton if this happens!Raiders pull off the huge upset and stake the early claim to the fourth playoff spot.Lumberton 31Ozen 27I Say; Ozen - 42 Lumberton - 17That's my story and i'm sticking too it! Lol I can't imagine any home cooking by the refs. I believe they will be from the Houston TASO chapter per BISD's choosing. Aggiesarewe can correct me if I'm wrong. I believe BISD refuses to use the local TASO chapter for all of their games. JRidge 1 Quote

Yeoj Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 Ozen has more athletes, no doubt. But let's look at athletes that produce results.Ozen's top 3 Offensive producers from last year (Boyd, Randle & Tyler) produced about 1000 yds less than Lumberton's top 3 Offensive producers (Yarbro, Rhodes & Thomas). I'm not great at math but the 3 Raiders accounted for about 3700 yds and about 30 TDs while the 3 Panthers totaled about 2700 and about 30 TDs. The problem I see is that the Raiders have all 3 back and the Panthers lost Randle. I also happen to know that our underclassmen put a real whipping on your underclassmen last year, so did Ozen get a bunch of transfers from Crosby??? It just don't add up. But I guess we will find out tomorrow night. What was the score when Lumberton played Ozen last year? Lol... What good did all those yards do for Lumberton last year against Ozen? Smh... I don't think your analysis works. I think Ozen wins this game by atleast 14. Quote

It's just an observation of recent facts. Ozen fans like to talk about their offensive firepower as compared to the lowly unathletic Raiders. I simply presented the other side of the coin. I hope the Raiders are more disciplined than the Panthers tonight. Historically maybe but we will play this game in this era and even if the Raiders discipline kicks in they'd better have some talent to match what Ozen has. I usually love rooting for the Under dog but that show has been cancelled for a long time now. Lol, hopefully we can match their discipline. Quote

I usually love rooting for the Under dog but that show has been cancelled for a long time now. Lol, hopefully we can match their discipline. We don't have any talent. I think the Ozen faithful have already established that point. Raiders will have to rely on our discipline and our slow, sure-footedness (someone accidentally left the sprinklers on all night).
