SHSALUM
Has anybody seen Fairfield play? Does Shepherd have a chance?
Longhorn63
With the weather outlook I'd say everybody has a chance to get some lucky bounces and who knows pull some unlikely upsets.
texas13
If shepherd shows up to play football on both sides of the ball then they have a chance
TROJANSWIN
Last year's Fairfield team was really good. Not sure how much they lost from last year. Shepherd has a decent team, but they seem to under perform. With Coldspring playing on the other side of town, maybe that will be enough motivation to put together a win! jwbassman
Fairfield's QB and stud RB graduated. Decent team, but not near as good as the state finalist team from last year
tigerheart
Ive heard fairfield is a run first team out of their spread stuff. That plays into shepherd's defensive strengths. SHSALUM
SHSALUM
Shepherd d line is pretty tough with linebackers making plays. So hopefully they do play into the strength of the D.
cat001
I think Shepherd has a good chance of winning Fairfield has not seen a defense like Shepherds the closest defense comparable to theirs that they have faced is Mexia and Mexia won that contest. Shepherd- 35 Fairfield-
Cheeseconey
Should be an interesting match up if Fairfield is run heavy. I think Shepherd has the ability to pull the upset. The big question to me is how will they handle the playoff atmosphered.
texas13
If the team that played kountze shows up then shepherd has a really good chance
oldman
Fairfield by 3 TD's....too much playoff experience.

HJ2012
If Fairfield is anything like what they were last year, they will take this one. Had a chance to talk to a player from that team that graduated, and he said they are down but not out.
ladybug33
Oldman I like your post, Fairfield might be the sleeper team that everyone is over looking
RattlerBlue
No one is overlooking Fairfield. The Eagles aren't anywhere close to the team that the fielded last year. Still, I like the Eagles in this matchup. PS, Fairfield mixes it up. Watch out for the quick screens.
Eazy
I dont think Shepherd stays within 20 points.
