Ferguson

roflmbo, if you are white.maybe. Remember this episode of the "Fresh Prince of Bellaire". Uncle Phil let Will borrow his Mercedes. He and Carlton were riding around and a cop stopped them and eventually arrested them, because he assumed that they had stolen the car since they were black. That episode is one I will never forget. That is our reality.

Really? Since you're referencing sitcoms; did you see a recent episode of Blackish where the dad tried to show his son how blacks are targets? He tried and tried to prove it to his son but failed. His son couldn't relate.  :)

While the emails are inappropriate, I don't see how 3 people trading a small number of racist emails over a long period of time is indicative of any type of pattern of racism. It's honestly not even proof that these 3 performed their job in a discriminatory nature.

You have to know that that don't make sense.

Out of 60 or more employees, they were able to find less than 10 racist emails sent by only 3 employees over more than 5 years. That's hardly a pattern or rampant racism or discrimination, even amongst the 3 that they DID catch. On top of that, somebody telling an inappropriate joke or sending an inappropriate email does not necessarily mean that they are not doing their job properly. A police officer could hear a racist joke, retell it, and still go out and treat people fairly while on his beat. I'm not sure what you don't think makes sense.

Well your not going to be to popular with THAT opinion :D

But if you recall, I did the math in a previous post and the percent of racist emails was like .01 something......I believe I based it on 1 or 2 emails sent a day.

    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.

    • Baseball mafia can cry all they want but when the talent isn’t there it ain’t there lol
    • It's only a matter of time before the baseball mafia starts greasing the tracks to run Crumedy out of town. It'll be a dang shame too, but mark my words.
