BMTSoulja1 Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 define abuse. because the cb wasn't even running hard and NEVER GOT BEAT. again post a vid showing his 8 catches for those yards...most of them came on two plays which one was bubble screen that went for over 60yards if i'm not mistaken...oh he got caught from behind on that play too.Receivers ate out there to catch passes. Not outrun anyone... When the pass is caught, then the kid's job is done. That kid made plays all night... Don't feel bad. He made plays even on the district powerhouse, Nederland ( ) and that state power, Summer Creek.. ;) Alpha Wolf 1 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 Dayton's success over the last 15 years is what I consider far above mediocre. North Shore in that same time frame. See it now? Nederland peaked at mediocrity... Nothing wrong with that. I agree Dayton and North Shore are far above mediocre. But are you saying Nederland's 18 playoff appearances in the last 20 years mediocre? Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 State Power... Thought they were missing the playoffs this year?yep, I got GCM coming in 4th. State powers have down years, look at Gilmer, Abilene High, Cibolo Steele. Quote

Ok, lets compare. Ned : 3rd round - 6 times 4th round - 2 times (one was a semi-final - 2001) Dayton 3rd round - 3 times 4th round - 2 times Finals - once. Nederland did not make the playoffs from 1961-1988 and then not again until 1993. Dayton did not make the playoffs from 1961-1989 and then not again until 1996. Seems both teams were pretty bad for a long stretch . Also, Ned had 3 finals appearances 1956,1957 and 1961 including a state championship in 57. Quote

Good lord if you go back to the 60's northshore was horrible. Also you forgot Dayton's semi finals in 07. Since 07 every team that has beat dayton in the playoffs has either won the title or played for it. The only exception being Ned. One thing I can tell you that goes back before the 50's is Ned's worst home loss. Quote
