BobcatBaseball8 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Silsbee 5-2 The bats from OF lit up Vidor one day then couldn't hit Liberty the next, never know what you're gonna get Great potential, and if they show up this could be a great game But silsbee might be a little too much Hoping for a great game! Critter Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Sislbee has the bats to beat anyone, but not sure who they will pitch. OF should give the Tigers a full dose of Braxton Smith who beat them in the playoffs last year. Should be a good game but I'll take Silsbee 7-5............. So GLAD DISTRICT BALL IS HERE!!!!!!!!! twilyms Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 is he ok? Why wouldn't they pitch him if healthy? I believe he is now at another school. Quote
Critter Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I believe he is now at another school. oh WOW... time has sure flown by.... Then I guess Silsbee won't see Braxton :D Quote
chukslegacy Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Will he loose his elgibility this year because of transferring to another school? Quote
twilyms Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Will he loose his elgibility this year because of transferring to another school? Being a senior, he is eligible 2 weeks after his move in day, I believe. Quote
chukslegacy Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Ok, So if your a senior then you can change districts or schools without loosing a year of elgibility! Cool, he is a great little pitcher and should fit in well. Quote
bulldog16 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Transferring for athletic purposes???? Quote
BobcatBaseball8 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I was told him and Trawhon had a problem in the dugout during the middle of one of the games at the OF tournament Quote
texas13 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Depends if he lives in that district there is no senior rule lol Quote
PhatMack19 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 OF has to fill out a form saying that he didn't transfer for athletic purposes. I've been told they didn't, so I don't see how he will be eligible this year. His best bet if he wants to play this year is to go to Kelly or Legacy. Quote
Gladtobehere Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Depends if he lives in that district there is no senior rule lol That is correct, doesn't matter whether a senior or not....... only matters if you can establish residency in the district. Quote
chukslegacy Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I believe certain members of the district will vote on this. UIL states that if you move for Athletic reason then you will loose a yr of elgibility, but if you move in the district, it may be different. Quote
Rake1 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 How about getting back on track and talking about the game? Rake1 DXTR 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted March 11, 2014 Author Report Posted March 11, 2014 Wow!! Post my first baseball broadcast thread of the season and this happens. Enough of the "transfer" talk. Had enough of that in the basketball forum. ;) Quote
