5. I know why he did not want to play safety.  He has no respect for those lil ball thieving goal line sitting varments.  Pass over them and run over them, thats what he does best.  8)
 6. I've already added Missouri to my favorites---ready to see some of those awesome stats from the QB.  I predict he will be taking snaps and harassing defenses real soon. Pick em apart Bruce.
 7. GFPSB players 50 Former coach  0 Hopefully the young lady heals quickly from the trauma caused by this individual and the courtroom.  And also the rest of the ladies involved with this team can put this experience behind them. Lesson for all---- [move]NEVER EVER HARM A YOUNG PERSON.  GOOD PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE THIS [/move]

 9.
Well, from those of us that do not know the whole story, thanks for half of it.  Glad you got it off your chest.
I am sorry---Forgot about Baytown friends.  go to KFDM.com ---you should obviously see the story--
 10. I am not sure the moderators will allow this thread --but I sincerely want to express my feelings toward this wonderful sport.  The news for the next few days will be headlined with "former softball coach".  I find it odd that there are quite a few area men and women that worked tireless hours developing and mentoring to these young ladies.  Yet as these few dedicated people move on, the undeserving title of "former softball coach"  makes todays headlines because of a very sick individual who used to read and post on these forums. Truthfully, the only contribution this person made to this sport was recruit coaches such as myself and several friends of mine.  Each year, coaches were added to this area so that their daughters would not ever have to play again on his team. I am thankful that I made the move to become involved with GFPSB and the priviledge it is to work with youngsters as they are growing up.  Their is lots of responsibility that comes with the territory of coaching.  Most ot this is common sense.  Coaches have to learn the game, push the players to reach their potential, become safety conscience, and sometimes become caring listeners.  Using good judgement is a must.  Additionally, parents need to also understand they also have responsibilities.  They should be very careful to know just who they leave their kids with.  They should pay attention to all the things that are going on.  I remember in the earlier years all the times a coach has to wait in darkness for a straggling parent to come pick up their kids.  It is very uncomfortable for many coaches to be left alone with somebody elses child.  Often, we hear of coaches taking their players home on such occasions.  This should always be a red flag---not that the coach is a predator, but that the child is capable of being put into a vulnerable situation.  Anyway, the recent news, and news that is forthcoming, has the potential of putting a blemish GFPSB and IMO that sucks.  It is a shame that this sick individual is publicized as a "former softball coach because softball  is not the culpret.  GFPSB is a great opportunity for  so many of our youth, and coaches and parents working together can keep it this way.  Respectfully, Weedbegone

 12.
Tronity was very big, but they were not deserving a #1 national ranking.  They made a lot of mistakes in the 1st half and their runningback was not near the back Jonathan Gray is for Aledo.  My opinion. Having said that, Pearland was far smaller and has less overall talent, but they played more sound football than did Trinity.
Yeah but they are on yourside of the Tronity River :)

I also want to add my appreciation for the coaching staff and other support given to these kids during the season, especially for the fans who stay positive through thick and thin.   Without any intentions to get into a p***ing match with outsiders ----it is a priviledge again to have my kids go through the WB programs, to have a wife and daughter teaching there, and to be asked for my 10th year in a row to represent the WB Band tomorrow in my big fat red and white outfit as they travel to the assisted living centers to bring the joy of Christmas season to the elderly and various challenged people within our great community.   While i am sure that the other area High schools enjoy similar opportunities, I am quite proud to be a part of this one.  Let us all try harder to back off the naughty and focus on the nice for the rest of this season----cause I'll be watching  and making a list  ;) :D
hat's funny, I am ashamed I have to send my kids to West Brook.  When I drop them off I shake my head in disbelief at what that school has become.  Full of a bunch of gang bangers and kids all over everywhere with their pants hanging down below their rears.  Yep...those kids are going far in life!
Man you should be ashamed  for the values you display before your kids.  If they inherit your attitude then they wiil go even as far in life as those your seem concerned about.
 14. Lumberon LL  verbally committed to join the Spindletop ASA group a few years back and backed out at the very last minute by not showing up.  At the same time Hamshire Fannett and Hardin County stayed with them and it did seem to work out for them.  My thoughts on having Girls LL mixed in under the same board as boys little league ----you will always find the Girls side of managerial descisions being step children to the necessary funding.  I may be outdated with this thinking, but your volunteer base back then seemed to show stronger support for the boys.  Combining geographics and providing a board that is committed to Girls only allows for a stronger foundation that can sustain and build a program IMO. As said in a previous post---when weakoned LL programs find themselves playing other weakoned programs, your quality is diminshed.
 15. Congrats to WB players.  Darned proud to have seen them play so many games the last couple of years.  Hope to see them play a few more. Has anyone ever thought about the difference being state recognized in Texas vs a state like Rhode Island?  It do put things into perspective.  ;D
 16. Congrats to both of these guys.  Not only do they posess the talents, but both play with lots of heart.  I look forward to following them at the next level.
 17.
I was wrong in my synopsis of Pearland. They are, apparently, much better than I anticipated. The sad part is, I still thought we had the talent to beat them. Maybe I'm wrong for thinking that. Maybe I was wrong for voicing my frustrated opinion in regards to the game. But, it is what it is. My opinion of our coaching staff has changed somewhat over the past year. I had more faith in them coming into this season. But now, I'm left with more questions than answers. I'm wondering if they are the right group to take us to the next level. I mean, lets be honest...do you guys think we lived up to our expectations coming into this season? I dont. Just sayin'. Obviously, Pearland is where we want to be. Right or wrong? But KUDOS to the Oilers anyways, they did what I thought would be impossible and I was wrong in my prediction. Good luck to the Oilers the rest of the way. And for all you naysayers out there, Im still going to support my team....win or lose. I'm just going to be alot more selective about what I say to some of you, in the future. See ya in '11.
LOL---never put off would you should say tomorrow what you could or should have said today.  ;D

Pearland is good, I'm not denying that. But they aren't 51-22 good over West Brook....normally. We have played better against better teams. Mark my words, if Pearland makes it to the Region 3 final against Katy, Katy will crush them! They are beatable!!! We just didn't show up and execute. No two ways about it. This WB team played poorly today. We never had an opportunity to be competitive. They did some things that made us make some adjustments in the 2nd quarter. The problem is, we never made those adjustments. Just sayin.
apparently.... your not as good at evaluating football as you think you are..... just saying..
There are a hand full of people that can evaluate on this board pretty well... I posted on the other board...Pearland by 7 or less...I saw the teams evenly matched across the board, with the big play ability going to Pearland.   As for our match up with Pearland...I'll still say we can play with anyone. :P
I dont consider myself as a good team evaluator but I do knbow a good poster when I see one.  U-DA-Man.   ;D
