  1. Lets see....stick around in Beaumont, TX or go play golf for money four days a week....tough choice.
  2. Aggies/Cajuns can be found here: [Hidden Content] Still may have to create an account, but it is free.
  3. UT lost at UFCU D-F last year to Stanford/NC State. I don't understand why they could not wait on the renovations until the end of baseball season. Is it that big of a project? They definately could have used the home field advantage. BTW - Aggies/Cajuns game is on CSTV internet. Not sure if all-access pass is necessary or not, but I will try and keep everyone posted that isn't able to watch.
  4. Louisville 1 Mizzou 0 (1st) Western Carolina 4 UNC 3 (5th) UC-Irvine 7 Texas 5 (8th) Oregon State 1 Rutgers 0 (4th)
  5. ETBU- Yes I spent the weekend at Reckling. The Owls took care of business. The pitching was very impressive, and the bats just did just enough to come away with the win. TCU was pretty impressive and better than I thought, but Rice always had an answer. The Owls need to get their bats going, but the pithing seems to be coming around pretty well. I originally picked the Cajuns to be in Houston next weekend for the Supers, but I think they blew that chance tonight and the Ags should take care of business tomorrow. Likewise for the Horns. I fully expect them to come out tomorrow when the came resumes and pound the ball and take the two games from UCI.
  6. Tons of upsets today. The Aggies and Horns backs are against the wall. I like UT's chances of winning 3 in a row more than A&M.
  7. Let's just hope their not another upset involving a SWAC team at Reckling Park this weekend. The Rice/PV scare the :-X out of me.
  8. From all the old SWC stories I remember the Aggies stealing 13-0 and the UT faithful fixing it is the most widely told. Given the Ags named Sammy the Owls, which is in the Rice Media Guide, I bet they stole "Varsity" at one point and time as well.
  9. The Big XII and SEC and probably the two best,. I think the best baseball is played in Texas, with Rice, UT, Baylor, A&M, TCU (need I go on) I'm partial to CUSA for many reasons. I think the ACC is overrated and plays a soft schedule, but top to bottom the SEC/Big XII are neck and neck.
  10. Cards +6 in the 12-15 hole (16th place) . Florida now leads at (-5). Stanford second at (-2). Still a chance to make things happen.
  11. Currently at +5 on holes 4-7. So even would be a reasonable goal at the turn.
  12. Interesting remarks made by Kobe on Stephen A. Smith show. [Hidden Content]
  13. The 'Stros have scored 17 runs in the 9-game losing streak.
  14. He went a lot further with this in his book, talking about most over/under rated players of all-time. Could be an interesting read, just haven't found my way to the bookstore yet. I'm still trying to get through Canseco's "Juiced".
  15. I guess we should all play: Regional Winners - Vanderbilt Rice UNC Texas Arizona State Florida State Arkansas San Diego Clemson UCLA Mizzou Ole Miss South Carolina UL-L Oregon State Arizona Super Regionals Vanderbilt over Oregon State San Diego over UCLA Texas over Arizona Arizona State over Ole Miss Rice over UL-L Arkansas over Mizzou North Carolina over South Carolina Florida State over Clemson College World Series Bracket 1 Vanderbilt College World Series Bracket 2 Rice Championship Rice over Vanderbilt 2 games to 1
  16. According to Coach Garner, they are trying to weather the storm and if they keep practicing and oding the same things they do every day, then they will make their run. It's just hard to get excited about them when they score as many times as the Dynamo.
  17. With a little work and some "curb appeal" Vincent Beck would be a great place to watch a game. Covering the seating would be my first step.
  18. The Yanks from LeMoyne made it. Cool! Maybe they can put a scare into the Ags.
  19. At least the offense is finally starting to come around. It took long enough. ;D
  20. UTSA 5 LU 3 Top 7. Light a fire guys...its now or never. Looks like a replay from last night.
  21. Question - I can't find a bracket. What happens if Lamar beats UTSA (UTSA elminated), then LU advances to play SHSU. Texas State beats SFA (SFA eliminated) Let's say Lamar beats SHSU in the night cap, then 3 teams are left with one loss, which means the early version of the championship game is between 2 of the teams LU/SHSU/TXST, but which ones? I don't want to get ahead of myself, just wondering what a team has to do to win it all. ???
