In the last six years they’ve been to five regional finals and two state championships while playing in the same division as the teams in this coverage area. Their bad season was 10-1. That’s one heck of a paper tiger. Remember how they absolutely dominated Ned in that 3rd round game a couple of years ago?

Their new district is not going to be stronger than the one they were playing in with Texas City, Manvel and FB Elkins. It’ll just be stronger than it was the last two years.

They’ll have the best coach and the best players in the district. They also got a potentially huge QB transfer this off-season that might allow Ja’koby Banks to move to his natural position in the slot where he will play in college. Kid will most likely be a high major prospect like Malik Hornsby was for them a few years ago. Yeah, I think they’re that good. They just had a bad matchup against BH, they won’t have those same issues in this district.

you are correct.  It is definitely not stronger than the district you mentioned.

It's never a good time to lose your coach but it's really bad timing for PNG this year. The top two teams from this district are probably also going to play in the regional final, depending on how Austin LBJ rebounds? If PNG finishes second in the district they would get LBJ in the second round, which is basically FB Marshall with a lower enrollment.

Are you really that impressed with FBM?  They are a paper tiger in my opinion until proven otherwise.  They are finally in a decent district away from all the gimme HISD games.  They may be legit.  They will finally have to fight a bit to win some games.

it's already tougher than I imagined given our 4 seed took out the "#2 team in state and consensus pick for region III"

So I investigated the teams a bit more.  Crosby will win.  Barbers HIll has a legit shot. Png has a legit shot.  Texas City has a legit shot.  I'll go with 2-2 or 3-1 for 12-5a

  4. FBM needs to line up some quality opponents in non district.  Barbers Hill, Nederland, Port Neches, Texas City, Crosby would definitely be undefeated if they played their cake schedule.  I know they are good, very good.  If Barbers Hill can punch them in the mouth early, They definitely have a shot.  FBM has faced no adversity.  They have faced no challenge.  I could see them becoming easily discouraged if BH resists.   I see FBM winning by 14 to 21.

First of all BH fan don't know who you are but I wish you would quit talking like you know what's going on! Your comments from this year and heck even the past couple years since I've been on here have been at times ( most times) ridiculous. Almost like you have never played the game. If you don't have a horse in the race quit talking like you know what's  going on other than what you see on Friday night. I can handle other team fans talking crap about our coaches and players but not a so called fan. So be a fan or keep quite. These kids have been put into a difficult situation this year and good or bad they have fought there tails off. As far as the game goes FBM is a very beatable team and we will just play the game and see what happens. But from me and the players and some coaches please keep the negative comments of "your team" to yourself.

This is a football message board.  BHFan is doing what we all do.  Share an unprofessional opinion because we can.  You are gonna have to put on your big boy pants if you are gonna stay on here.  He did nothing wrong.  He didn't disrespect the team.  He didn't call out any player or coach.  Get over it!!

We had a down year in ‘18, missed the playoffs for the only time in the last 17 years. Went .500 in ‘19. Long as we’re healthy and stay out of financial trouble this the “un-down year” times. Doesn’t matter if we get moved up, Manvel and Cedar Park would be the only perennial powers left in the region to compete with.
