  1. Has any adult called the school and asked what the issue is?
  2. If my son did something stupid off school grounds, I would not want the school to take action against my child. That would be my responsibility! I hold my kid to a higher standard than the school district. IMO, the school district is there to teach my kid, but I am here to RAISE my kid. There is a difference.
  3. Good Luck Jefferson..............Keep your head up and your bottom out of trouble!
  4. Hey Yankee, Thanks Yankee.........will give it a try Sunday if the weather cooperates.........Your right about the flounder, thats what I like!
  5. They should be in the water. Thanks for the tip. When I launch in sabine pass on sunday, I'll make sure it's in the water. 8)
  6. Weed is not a powerful drug. It's along the same level as alcohol, the only exception it is illegal. I could care less about which school this kid is from, if it was up to you guys, he would be hung.
  7. Now that's funny!!!!!!!! Noooooo.....Thats Funny!!!!!
  8. PERMANENTLY You bet I guess if it was your kid, you would want him kicked off the team permanently as well. I agree he should be punished, however, I can't get over the anger in some of these post. Pretty amazing the hatred I am feeling.
  9. That's gonna give him much more time to smoke that weed. Seems to me, the punishment is giving him more time to get introuble.
  10. and before everyone starts pooring the negative karma on me......I agree, the kid was wrong AND stupid. My only point is treat him like a normal kid.
  11. I never said he would turn out to be ok but... The kid is a GREAT athlete with a huge future and he decides to put all that on the line to go get "HIGH".... it makes no sence AI FAN........you ever smoke a joint?? If you did, you took a stupid risk........It makes no sense, but most of us have made stupid decisions 1) lets look at the facts he was out ran a stop sign got pulled over he had weed in his car and he said it was his bottom of the line he should be punished by law and by the school and honesty what do you think baylor is gonna do when there hear about this???????? Hey Obama........kinda avoiding my question................
  12. HAHA......you got some karma for that one.........
  13. I never said he would turn out to be ok but... 14. I hope the best for the kid........however if you just slap his hand he will do it again and again and again!!!! I think it depends on the kid not the punishment.............if punishments did their job, no one would be put in jail more than once..........IMO
  15. Never said it was the right thing to do......... I think we have all done something that we regret. Its just after reading the thread, everyone wants this guy hung. Lazeek..........I smoked in college a couple times, but turned out married with children...... ;D I think the kid will turn out just fine unless he gets life for this crime ;D
  16. Finally finished reading this thread.............WHEW! To all the "hangmen Jurors out there" I realize smoking pot is against the law. So is driving while intoxicated. How many of you have drove drunk or smoked pot at sometime in their life? Even if it was just once, you broke the law. Did you get punished? Did you turn yourself in? I didn't think so!........... Maybe the publicity alone will teach this guy a lesson. It amazes me when everyone puts on their righteous hats and wants to do the right thing.........as long as its not them involved.
  17. Thinking about takin the boat to Sabine pass sunday. Anyone heard how the fishing is? Last time I was out was a couple weeks after Ike. We did well on Reds on the LA side of the lake, near the cut of that bayou. Really would like to find some flounder!
  18. If he keeps the staff it would be one less "change". Most people do like like change. If the players trust the staff and he can win over the coaches, it will be a better transition.....IMO
  19. Come on people, I'm a supporter of Lumberton NOT PNG, but give the coach a break. How do you become a HC without someone giving you a chance? I'm sure they looked at his accomplishments in his current position and looked at his leadership skills. Good Luck PNG!
  20. I think in 2-3 years they will be hard to stop. I think next season will be the learning curve! P.S. In the mean time you can come watch Lumberton ;D In all seriousness, PNG has a great tradition and football program, I'm looking forward to seeing it come back!
  21. Calling YankeeDawg............you need to put one of those smilie thing emoticons dressed as an indian doing a war dance or something!!!!!!!
  22. Good post. Although I am mainly a freshwater fisherman (who uses a 22.5ft CC boat), I do like to get out in salt water during the summers when not at the lake. I think(wish) more people would post information like this on the forum so we can stay proactive on these issues. So many things gets passed and we the public find out after the fact. And I will send that email!
  23. Do we all have to agree with you? :
  24. The only thing in life that you can be 100% sure about is death and taxes. Even Tom Landry started out somewhere. Tex Schramm gave him a shot after he played on a championship team and was assistant coach on a championship team. He had never been a head coach when he took over the Cowboys. But The Cowboys had never HAD a head coach when Tom Landry took over.
