    Meaning he should hire a diverse group of people.....people that think differently....you can add color if you like,(not where I was going though).   I also read ....."   If a takeover is approved, a board of managers would replace the elected school board members.  The power of the elected board would be suspended for no more than two years.  The board of managers would be made up of people from the community including business people and community leaders.  The commissioner would also appoint a superintendent.   So, does the current Superintendent still receive a paycheck for the next 2 years?

    Judge rejects BISD claim for about $350,000 in Calvin Walker forfeited funds   and he also rejected Walkers claim for about $2.7 million of what he forfeited to the government......BECAUSE "The word "Altered" is not fraud so stop twisting it!"    But.......he will receive $200,000 in funds seized from him amid criminal charges....   Keeping up with all this could really be a full tme job......     [Hidden Content]

    Attorney sends letter promising legal action if Atkins isn't rehired at Ozen today   "They knew," Atkins said. "They said they'd called around about my character and they understood people would not be OK with 'the allegation'."       Blue......"our communities" or "my community"......BISD should be one community. What is causing all the issues? It is NOT the media. I think everyone wants what is best for the kids.....and based on the information that has been reported (and investigated) it should not include the existing school board.

      If there is nothing to report, there is nothing to report. BISD is making it's own problems. You can blaim the media all day long.....but if you want it to stop, BISD needs to stop doing stupid stuff.....

    The 9th grade students, who are juveniles, are being charged with a state jail felony, section 2808, graffiti. The charge is upgraded from a misdemeanor because it was done on a school property.     [Hidden Content]

      I don't see how Chargois is going to survive this.......there is only a handful of his supporters left....   No one has said if a contract was actually signed......I'm wondering if that will play a part.   As for the negative publicity......you couldn't make this stuff up.......   Oh yea.....and Jessie is appealing the workers comp claim.......while she is still on the BISD payroll..........

    I have watched this thread for weeks and didn't see much taking up for BISD. I thought the good tax paying citizens of Beaumont had finally had enough. I thought they were tired of wasting their tax dollars, depriving their kids of a good education and helping increase the property values of all the surrounding cities......   Then I went to the football forum........we still have folks blaming media bias, trying to call out other districts wrong doings (like that would fix anything) and even trying to marginalize a teacher getting his license suspended for improper relationship with a student.....really??  Do we hire convicted pedophiles for daycare workers if they "served their time"??   It is very apparent that the problem in BISD is not JUST BISD......it's some of the voting taxpayers that make excuses and allow this corruption to continue........

    Chargois is in a pickle......   In one aspect I sympathize with him(he walked into a mess)....but on the other, it appears he played the favorites/political game just like everyone else. He did not take swift action against the public figures.....had he fired Jessi Haynes, he would be in much better shape right now.   It  does not look like he was smart enough to see his future and everything blowing up around him.....

        I'm guilty of letting my 13yo bring his cell phone to school. It's beentaken up once and cost me $15.00. He an A-B student (pretty good during puberty) and I like the fact I can contact him if I want.....and he likes to text me his lunch order on Fridays.....

The HHS numbers, as well as Avalere’s and Gaba’s, are all counting sign-ups, and not whether someone has completed enrollment by paying the first month’s premium. By the best estimates, anywhere from 80 to 90 percent of people signing up have paid their premiums.   And how does he know 80-90% has paid their first months premiums when the White House does not have that information....and if they did, don't yoiu think they would post it?     [Hidden Content]       During her testimony on HHS’ budget for 2015 last week, Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told members of Congress that she had “no idea” how many people had made their premium payments because the government does not collect that information. :o  :o  But an insurance industry insider confirmed to FOXBusiness.com that HHS does have those stats but is failing to release them for political reasons as it would lower the enrollment count.
