I have to brag just a moment here. Roschonsbigbro if you will permit me. My Brothers stepspn played on Roschon's junior league football  team. This was when he was 12. I can remember how mature he was for his age. He was a very talented young man and many already knew he was destined to be were he is at now. Guys and gals I cannot say this enough Roschon is a great football player and an even better kid. He is extremely dedicated tobeing the best student and player he can be. I say this notto take anything away from any other kiddos on our team. Just wanted to say something in his favor because he never will. Proud of our Indians and the direction they are headed.  Alot of you know this but those who do not his older brother is Jerimiah Rose former Indian reciever. Great family of Indians

Memorial concentrated on the run because it worked.  I am a firm believer in running a play until it doesn't work.  Memorial kept it simple & ended up with the victory.  Good coaching!!!

does livingston have a huge crowd?? looking at those visitors bleachers, i might sit on Livingston side and cheer on the team. don't want to sit in the trees and i see no concession stand on that side of the field.

Can't wait to see PAM lose huh. They stared down PNG and what they did about it. Get over it think central this week.

You missed it.  Wow.  Regardless of the score.  Roschon don't need to apologize for anything.  Kid showed more heart than a little bit.  He was rattled a bit by the pressure, but who wouldn't with PAM's D and your D1 receiver getting shut down by the #2 Db in the nation.  Plus a couple of overthrown balls that would have been easy Tds.  Young man is only gonna get better.

Memorial will win by 3 tds.  We any to it with vidor and we were never really in the game vs memorial. They will be hard to beat for the foreseeable future

When I first heardMemorial had dropped down to 22-5A, we both said they will go undefeated in district.  Now come to this week playing against our beloved Indians. We just hoped by some miracle we could pull off the upset. Well it didn't happen and the BEST team won period. 
 

We're talking 30 years difference. Not sure why but some kids are smaller now than they used to be. Maybe they were corn feed back in the day. LOL  But I feel some kids today have some much speed. 

I didn't go back and read every single post, but I hope there are no excuses being made. I hope it's just the game being discussed. Because it's the same as some PA fans discussing why PNG scored this and that. That's kinda of making excuses as to why we came within 5 points of the beast. PNG got out there and worked their butts off...that's why. I'm sure the team isn't patting their backs about a moral victory.

If if if. Good defense forces turnovers and mistakes. Enough with the losers attitude. Oh we playing PAM I think we can win I hope we can win there overrated. (Lose)that what they where suppose to do with those enrollment numbers we ain't lose by 30. If Hines wasn't so fast if Vincent was so good. Etc etc. We played in district with wb ns lp dp. And never heard as much excuses. Central beat us hell ozen beat us it can be done. Stop accepting moral victories because you ain't lose by 30. If you ain't win you lost. PNG look solid.

I'm not going to lie...If we bring our little Sophomore QB and short DB's into PA and get a win.....they'll have to call an ambulance for me. For real.

well, time to go get my girls from school and daycare and get on the road to PA!!!! GAME TIME!!!

This will be my first game in the Golden Triangle. When I coached at Westbury in Houston most of our games had not so great crowds. Back in my hometown of Brenham, we could pack em in pretty good, but from what I hear tonight should be nuts. I'm having a hard time picking Memorial to win seeing how they went life or death with Houston Westside. Westside beat us last year over at Westbury, but we weren't very good, and well, they weren't either (I think they lost 84-0 to Katy in round one of the playoffs). Brenham manhandled Westside in Week 1 this year, and Brenham isn't all that great this year either. I tend to think that PNG will manage the game better and keep the ball away from that standout corner PAM has and will win by 14.

I contacted the PAISD Administration office.  They stated that they were going to try to get personnel to open the gates by 5:15pm tonight.

Nope , The first game was 18 - 0 Titans B teams , oh they just scored  ( my seed hoooooray ) lol , score 20 6

I would like to thank David Thompson and staff from the Beaumont Enterprise for allowing all us "old schoolers" the chance to share our stories and memories from the rivalry years between PNG, TJ, and Lincoln!   No, to the kids at PAM and PNG...this isn't a rivalry...yet, but the history between the MC and PA schools runs deep and we are all looking forward to the game...it's game 1 of the new chapter that we hope will be filled with many stories of the epic battles between the Titans, Indians, and Bulldogs for years to come that all the kids will be proud to share with their children, grand children and great-grandchildren!!  Even though this game isn't a "rivalry" so to speak...it sure brought back some cherished memories from days gone by as my husband and I walked around at Memorial Stadium today when we met with David to get some pics for the article!  That's where OUR story together began in 1989 when a young PNG Indian girl first met a handsome Fighting Yellowjacket from Thomas Jeffeerson HS after his football game!!  As I watched my now, Purple and White wearing, Cherokee singing, husband swell with pride as he talked about the school and city where he grew up...it proved you may take the boy out of PA, but you'll never take that PA Yellow Jacket pride out of the boy!  Good luck and prayers to both teams for a great, injury free game!!  Oh, and Scalp 'em INDIANS!  

We just held a "movie night" at the stadium Saturday. For project graduation, would've been the closest thing to one.
