the teams in the southeast with enough athletes don't have the execution and discipline. The ones with the execution and discipline don't have the athletes.
suburb teams of Houston have discipline, structure and athletes.

You are arguing something that I am not even talking about.
Cedar Hill has a distinct advantage over fort bend Hightower.
Hightower is a new school, they progress, get good, then they come in and take half their players and put them at ridge point. Five years later fort bend comes in and rezones and more of your guys go to Elkins. They rezone the middle schools and you lose continuity there.
I don't  care about enrollment numbers.
One school towns are incredibly more likely to build the continuity needed to become powerhouses.
 

I still claim that the scheduling helps.
 
Maybe ridge point had ten weaknesses at the beginning of the season. Stratford brought two to light. Elkins brought two to light. PLC brought one to light. Etc.
Crosby had ten weaknesses but no one was ever strong enough to illuminate them so they were never fixed.

Dallas is dominant because of issues that have nothing to do with football.
It's the same reason Dallas is worried about being landlocked and not having room to expand.
Dallas has a ton of small towns like Crosby all around the city. Imagine for a second that fort bend ridge point was a town and all of the kids would forever be zoned to that school. Just when ridge point gets going in another few years their high school will be split up and a new one will be built. Same with George ranch. Happened to Hightower when ridge point opened up. Will happen to manvel. Those are all separate little towns in Dallas and they stay one school. Aledo, Argyle, Cirsicana, Allen, Desoto, Cedar hill.
Imagine if Crosby had 3500 students and capped out there and never planned to split, and they built on that program for a couple of decades.
Dallas has dozens and dozens of scenarios like that.
the programs are in Dallas, the players are in Houston.

probably didn't hurt that all those lamarque, Texas city and ball kids had to go somewhere.

I don't think they are far away. They have the athleticism and speed.
As I said in the Houston setx thread, I think they lack imagination. and they started to fight among themselves when things got bad. The running back berated the line on one play in particular.
Ridge point played like one unit, each piece knowing how their role added to the ultimate plan the team had.
Crosby doesn't have some offensive mastermind as a coach that gives them any sort of strategic advantage.
So then you look and see if they execute play after play, and they don't.
they either have to get more fundamentally sound and air tight in their execution or they have to get more sophisticated on offense.

Crosby needs to schedule teams such as Pearland Dawson or friendswood or a solid 6a team like atascocita. Teams where simply tossing it around the corner and letting Williams outrun everyone will not work.
You have to challenge yourself to reach another level past where the pure athleticism can take you.

I thought Crosby was in trouble when I saw how athletic the Cheerleaders were for RP at the introductions before the game!

Richmond Foster still in it.  Richmond George Ranch still in it.
Both likely to take out the remaining 21/22 5a teams in the region in Division 1 this week.

You can't claim to be fourteen points better then have someone point out that you didn't win by that much then say that people are complaining about Margin of victory.

I graduated from Baytown lee
 
Lived in ridge point zone last seven years.

Baytown has to build a sixth junior high school and split it up two junior highs to each high school. That would be the first step.
if png has athletes that are a potential 5 on the scale to 10 and lee is also a 5, the Lee kids come to high school developed to a 2 while the png kids are at 4.5 already.
png kids eat sleep and breathe football. Lee probably doesn't have more than two dozen season ticket holders now days. What's png have? Several thousand probably? The parents at lee have no school history ingrained into them. The football is all surface level. There is no deeper meaning to it.
Lee has a good coach now. He has brought structure and discipline. They just don't have enough superior athletes at this point to overcome the fact that they only get four years of serious football coaching in their life before they turn 18.

GCM has been at the lower end of competitive.
They have not been good by any stretch.  I don't think it is all coaching, but I do think that GCM has sort of just settled into mediocrity and not really demanded any sort of excellence.
